OLD80

I recently had a crack in my rear diff welded .The people concerned(Obriens 4wd in Geraldton and I can't say enough good things about these people as they helped me out of a hole over night) stressed that it was a temporary repair and would have to be replaced. However 8000k later and I am finally home there is no indication that the problem has returned. I am wondering if anyone has had the same problem and whether I am taking too big a chance by leaving it as is.
