This is where I had my car resprayed when it had a factory paint fault when I just bought the car. Warren Toyota uses these guys to do their paint work for them. It took them 5 times to get it resprayed and still doesn't look like its matched. It was a small circle on the drivers door, turned out to be a larger patch, then the whole door, then they decided to blend it in with the back door. batards!!!. never take it to this place.

  2. All I can say is take it to another Dealer. I dealt with Peter Warren when I first got my car which is more than 2 years ago. I had so much problems with my car which i think was due to their incompetency. They will fix something and something else would be broken. One of the guys there even told me that I shouldn't be revving my car above 6000K and that I was abusing my car so they refused to look at the sticky gear shift issue. The fix turned out to be adjustment of the clutch.

I would never recommend those guys and if I was to take my car there for free services I wouldn't accept.

They really don't know what they are doing and I even know things regarding the fixes and recalls that we had before they do. Seriously....I strongly recommend u take ur car back and don't let them touch ur car again.

Reading ur post makes me think back at those days when I had so much problems with my car and it just pisses me off hearing that's its peter Warren. **** them!!!!

  3. Hey guys. I just saw this post. Haven't spent much time on the forum lately. I'm definitely up for the meet even though I have a poker game with the boys. I'm gonna give the poker game a miss and join u guys.

I'm in the Cabra area so any one from Cabra who's going we can meet up before hand. Prob at Krispy Kreme and then head off from there.

    PM me.

    Cheers

  4. Those pics are actually taken of my car. I'm proud to say that I'm the first to have this new CAI installed on any car :D . The pipe size is slightly larger than the Simota pipe. It is the same size as TRD CAI. So far it's been good. I'm gonna give it a few more weeks before I make any judgement.

  5. I've got this new pipe installed a few days ago. Changed it from the Simota one. As far as I can tell at the momet it is much smoother than the Simota one. I don't have a good pod filter for it yet. I'm sure a K&N filter or Apexi filter would make it much better. The price is OK as u can see it comes with K&N filter for $399. When u buy the TRD CAI people tend to change it to the K&N anyway. I'll take pics one day and show u guys. I will be testing this one out for a few weeks and will tell u guys what I think.

    Cheers

  6. OK the scraping noise may be normal but I have this rattle/ sizzle noise when accelerating from 2000 RPM onwards all the way to 6000RPM. It sounds like a pinging noise but I know it's not pinging. It's getting louder and louder. Toyota took a look at it and they say it's characteristic of the car.

This noise was apparent before but it was fixed ages ago. Now since getting the gear selector cable replaced again the problem came back. The last time the problem was with a rubber seal related to the gear selector cable that was not secured which cuased a vibration. This time I advised the warranty manager of this and he says that they checked it all and said it was all good....."characteristic of the car".

So now I'm stuck with this sizzling noise. :(

  7. cheers guys im getting my first service tomoz i wouldnt mind going in there knowing exactly what it is so i can say hey this is whats happening now bloody fix it lol

I just got my car back from service today and I raised the issue again with them. I get the same scraping noise when gearing down which I posted numerous topics dating back more than a year ago. I also get a rattle/sizzle noise when accelerating. It's been raised about 10 times at 2 different dealers and none have a solution. The final comment was ....................."characteristc of the car!"

Guess I'll have to deal with it <_<

Goodluck with getting urs fixed ;)

  8. For the first time I experienced this problem today. I was so scared it was going to stall in peak hour traffic. How come I seem to get all the problems around here??? Idle drops below 500RPM and shakes a bit and goes back up above 1000RPM and then drops again. The needle just rocks up and down several times. There also seems to be a very strong burning eggy smell as well and I didn't drive it hard. I've never had this problem before!!! This car is driving me nuts!!!

Has anyone got it fixed yet and what did Toyota say?

  9. Got told by either Sydney City or Western Toyota a while back when i tried to book car in. They just told me to bring it back to where i bought it.

I bought my car from Warren Toyota in Liverpool. I've had so many disputes with them trying to get things fixed. Simple things like changing gear selector cables takes for ever and numerous times of bringing it back coz they didn't do it properly not to mention stuffing it up or stuffing something else up. They have no idea how to fix anything!!! They are just hopeless!!! After trying to get things fixed one at a time I thought I would raise the issue with the crunching of gears when trying to shift at high revs. Had a fight with the d!ckhead customer service guy there telling me that it's ridiclous driving it past 6000RPM. "I'm abusing my car" he says. He basically told me to p!ss off.

I had enough of there poor service anyway so I took my car down to Western Toyota and in a few hours my clutch pedal was adjusted. They also knew about the issue and everything was sorted including my LCD climate control panel was replaced even though I didn;t even mention that it was faulty.

I wouldn;t go anywhere else. These guys really know what they are doing and look after you. I highly recommend that you service your car there. I;ve said it before and I'll say it again WESTERN TOYOTA ROCKS! ;)

  10. lent my car to my parents again.

other then that im gonna go to toyota on monday and get a new one -_- better not b a expensive or im gonna skitz it.

Ask Shao...He riced his car up with one. :P

  11. Progress guys, spoke with toyota dealer on Friday and they will be looking at the problem next week. will keep you posted. Over the fone they said the windows shouldn't be rattling the way i explained it to him.

That's good to hear as I've had this problem during my 1st year of owning it. I just thought it was one of those characteristics of the car. It rattles when I close the door and rattles when driving over bumpy roads. It's either drive with windows all the way down or all the way up. If you can get it fixed please let us know. i wanna get this fixed as well.

    Cheers :)

  12. Just found out my older brother just got a job at a Wildlife park on the Gold Coast so will endevour to get up and visit him some time after he moves there next month, but means I have less reason to drive up to Darwin (to visit him) on the open speed limitted highways.

I'll also try and work an exhaust fitting in, but at a later date when the funds are there (but saving like hard still!!)

So yeah I'd be up for a cruize up there at a later date...

Cool with me. I'm also planning this for a later date as funds are low at the moment. Just wanna see who is interested so we can organise this for a later date.

See how many people who will be up for...Don't wanna rock up there all by myself. :D

  13. Speaking of driving to QLD, I am interested in this CES system and I live in Syd. i was wondering if anyone else who is interested who lives in Syd wanna cruise up to QLD to get this CES system. we can have a group cruising up there for a meet up with the QLD boys. What u guys think?
