  1. Just a reminder to all, that there is a Members Ride Section...

Post all pics and updates of your car in there!

    Otherwise, welcome aboard!

Cool stereo etc... just get rid of the mudflaps! :P

I would rather that he posts pictures in here though to be honest, saves us from having to filter through 7375839010 corollas to try and find piccies of Aurions in the members ride setcion, i say, put them in here old chaps and keep 'em coming.

  2. Don't bother, mine arrived 2 weeks ago and i was highly disappointed. they are customed made by another company, theres no sign of a toyota logo anywhere on them and the black colour i got doesn't suit the rest of the inside of the car. I was tempted to take them back, but i can't be bothered arguing with the clowns. Highly disppointed

  3. I've driven a new VE Clubsport. Surprisingly refined, smooth and quiet. I do recommend you drive one before passing judgement.

I do like the look of the Ford Falcon G6E Turbo. Luxury and 13 second qtr mile performance for that price! Personally I think the locally built cars Toyota, Holden and Ford inclusive have much to offer over imports and hopefully they won't all go down the same path as Mitsubishi Aus.

Yeah well drive an Omega version of it, and then drive the baseline Aurion and see the difference. The VE's (lower models) are an absolute piece of $hit, this is coming from a previous staunch Holden fan. Even the SV6's have nothin on the Aurion SX6 and ZR6's.

  4. at the end of the day, the Aurion is relatively heavy family car. If people want a performance car, then buy a Supra, Celica or an MR2. I bought mine because I think they are one hell of a nice looking car and still has enough room if i decide to have a family,in the near future, and it still has plenty of power to get around on the highway. Each to their own, but i think there are far more economical ways to have a quick sports car............

  5. people thinking that you just simply change an ECU and "Bam" you got yourself a massive gain are kidding. You have to make mods to pretty much the Suck, Bang and Blow systems (Intake, Ignition/Fuel and Exhaust) before even thinking about changing an ECU. The donk seems to be putting out about as much neigh neighs (HP) as you can get without doing some major mods on those described systems. The intake is basically CAI anyways..........

  6. well thanks to a demolition truck ,driving the opposite way, a piece of metal about a foot long and about half a foot wide came cart wheeling from out the back of his tip truck and went straight into the front of my Aurion. At first it looked like a piece of bark as the metal was rusted, however i pulled over, and saw the damage, whilst not massive, is very noticeable. With rage I went to follow the dam truck but he had turned off the road into suburbia and I couldn't find it again. I am pretty ropeable about it, but being that it was 3pm, thankfully it hit my car and not a kid riding their bike home from school as it would have probably taken their leg off. I am pretty p!ssed at the moment.

  7. The tyres will "wear" before your plastic guard does. You need to sort it out ASAP as you don't want to make your tyres unsafe. Me personaly, i think you should have gone for 18's or 19's, 20's are too big if you want to lower the car as well. Your ride comfort will be pretty ordinary I would have thought with that combo.

  8. I put an order in for some at the local dealership here in TVL, they said it would take 3 weeks as they are custom made somewhere. I wanted to see a picture of them before committing, but they couldn't find any, I was reluctant to continue on but i gave them a deposit, if they look like a$$, they won't be getting the remainder of the coin. I will put a photo up if they are any good.

  9. finally got the windows tinted..............lowering in 2 weeks, then the new wheels....................................maybe, hehehehehehehe

  10. yeah, i am thinking about it hey...... i don't actually mind the standard mag that comes with the SX6, i just wish it was a bit bigger and a bit wider, the actualy design itself is quite good though. I really wish i could afford to get the B Boss Eleanors right now..........

  11. nah, i think the owner/manager was at the front counter but i got a bit of a discount for being in defence, kit and kaboodle- $650, which i am not too angry at having to pay, all i can remember was swearing at my mate and he at me when we lowered my VS wagon, never will i do that again, lowering that is, I swear at my mate on a daily basis. The B Boss Eleanors are $2000, i might wait til i need new tyre and then splurge then, the car could go about another 15k kms on these ones i have (still original tyres), i can't really justify that amount at the moment, which is a shame as the car deserves the dam things, but i have other priorities (stupid home loan) haha!!

  12. Oh, and looking at the B Boss Eleanors (18 inchers) to throw on in a month when i can get some $$$$ together.

After seeing them on the White one in here, I think they will suit my girl as well.

    The joys of car ownership!!!!!!

  13. Sorry to bring up a past post.

Black Betty finally gets her windows tinted this monday and getting lowered on wednesday (pedders sports ryders).

Will chick some photos in here ASAP................

  14. I love those Eleanor rims, i am sooo close to getting them for my black SX6, i think they would suit black really well, i need to find someone up here in Townsville though who i can get them through, though DavoP has a set of B Boss Sylvias so someone up here must be able to get that brand of rim up here in NQ.

  15. i am highly tempted to lower mine at pedders, whilst mine does handle alright, i agree that the tyres that come with the sportivos are slightly inadequate when it comes to cornering. I am going to start with a lowering job and go from there. i really like the design of the standard mags that come with the SX6 but they would have been better in an 18 or even 19 inch. They just aren't wide enough either.

  16. how does the handling feel now Davo?? My old VS wagon, i bought the springs from pedders but a mate and I installed them as he had the compressing tool. Let me just say the $200 i saed in fitting them myself was not worth the pain in the a$$ it is to do it, I would pay them anyday to fit it. I am still contemplating lowering mine.

  17. You would be suprised, in QLD them and the department of transport have random checking, kinda like a breath-o but they check out the cars, they usually put a machine that "sniffs" the exhaust. I reckon if they saw that your emissions was over a certain level, i am sure $hit would hit the fan. I've been pulled over in my old VS wagon twice since moving back home to the 'Ville. For the extra bit of spice you get with the performance by getting rid of one of the cats, i honestly don't think it is worth it.
