Ok I;ve got a proposition for you all. :)

Since we're all going to be busy going to places and other appointments why dont we get this meet up / cruise the first thing on our agenda on that day. So basically making the time a bit earlier (not too early of course). That way wen can go for like nice cruise then after that we can all go to our designated places.

Also I was thinking of this route....

Meet up at Karawara -> Take Manning Rd -> To Carousel area - > Albany highway -> Tonkin highway - > morley Galleria area ->??? any suggestions

How long will our cruise be? I hope only around an hour..... I don't know lol...

Would anyone happen to know where I can get a CAI custom fitted to my car and do a reasonably good job? I don’t mind paying a little bit extra if it means they can guarantee doing a good job, if you know what I mean.

What would be a reasonable price to get a CAI installed?

Also, I'm looking to getting new Mag's once the tyres on these 16"s are worn out. Does anybody know any good deals around Perth? :D

hey buddy... Welcome!

in regards to the CAI bozurolla pretty much summed it up.. personally i wouldnt go and get quotes for anything for our cars from cyfer ind or x speed.. not only will they rip you off but they are also ****ers and very rude.. (thats my experience with them anyways lol)

if you want one custom made maybe try a local exhaust shop and buy your own filter or you could DIY using flexable pipe into airbox..

anyways look forward to meeting you.. i am yet to see what the engine bay of the new rollas look like..

With regards of the DYI flexable pipe into airbox, I've noticed that the pipe going to the airbox basically makes a loop which ends up facing the airbox (which is close to the engine)... Dont know why Toyota made that, BUT I manage to take that off and lead the pipe heading towards the bumper away from the engine :D I'll try and post up some pics.

I guess it gives us ZRE owners a reason to mod it so that it will peform a little better. I have been reading alot about the engine and yes you do have to rev the engine as it does have a larger size bore compared to the 9th Gen Corollas. This gives us even more reasons why we should hassle blitz or any similar company to start building super-chargers to get more power early in the rev range.

I'm not 100% sure but maybe a simple cat-back and CAI might just help the car rev a little easier as I also find that it starts to scream higher up in the rev-range.

Given that from what I've seen I'm pretty much the only person who has been game enough to install a cat-back exhaust system in place of the stock unit. (That or I have not been looking hard enough.)

The new exhaust that I got fabricated has come up trumps in the 'more punch' department. I find that the response is a bit quicker and it glides up the rev range alot quicker now too rather than struggling as the revs climb around sub-4,000rpm. Unfortunately as the airbox has all the AFM stuff on it its hard to easily just remove the box and place the AFM sensor stuff on some piping for a CAI. But who knows, it might come to play. :)

by the time you get enough donations im sure someone would ahve come out with an aftermarket set of tail lights to suit your rolla, so just be patient.

yeh I agree.... There is NOTHING out yet for the ZRE 152®'s (quote me if I'm wrong) for performance and mods (maybe just the casual exhaust and rims but thats pretty standard).

Guess patience will be a virtue.

The hatch should fit although its for a matrix, to be honest dunno if matrix/corolla hatch have different tail lights.

Just wondering if the older sedan Corolla's that have available bodykits be about the same size as the sedan Corolla's.

Im asking because I wonder if I can find a bodykit for a Corolla, say 2006 model and get someone to mold it fit a 2007 model.

just wondering if these mod questions apply to the sedan model or the hatchback,

I've found this standard air intake from K&N just wondering if I can get any of your thoughts, I've exhausted myself looking for mods especially for air filters / intakes .
