  1. I did alpine to ipod in mine and cost $599 for the unit and i-pod conection, + then the cost of i-pod. The alpine takes full control of the ipod and I keep mine in the glovebox so no one can see it ;)

Well worth it if your a music fan. The sound is really good much better than dodgy connections

Yeah mine was the same price plus price of ipod...setup from westside audio in osi park did a great job. I havent got an amp or new speakers the speakers in these modles i reckon are excellent and sound is sufficient enough for me at the moment. My ipod and deck both come out of car when not in use. Probably goin to look at suspension again next with struts.

  2. Hi guys

I always get my car serviced at Grand Toyota in Wangara Perth. They are excellent and the car is always 100% cleaned for us on pick-up my last service cost me $275 and that was for a 30,000km service

  3. Hi guys

I recently had my car serviced and they picked up a few issues including the squeaky noises when turning from my steering wheel. Today had my power steering flushed as that was one of the issues and Grand Toyota picked up that my steering was noisey, which I have also noticed.

I was told that Toyota have developed a new grease to overcome this problem and its about a 4 hour job which is getting done on Monday, if anyone else has this issue speak to your toyota dealer because it is covered under warrantry!!! :D

Also I had toyota fix both my front window seals last serviced which was covered under warrantry (as this seems to be very common with these camry's). :D

At the moment the Camry is running excellent!! :D

  4. Hi Kelvin

I also own a V6 Sportivo but 2003. My fuel consumption on cruise (which i use most of the time) is down to 7L/100k. I also use premium unleaded and have fuel catalysts in my fuel tank which have made a difference. My tyres pressure is around what Terry suggested but i also have nitrogen gas in them not air. :D

  5. Hi everyone - I'm David from Racing Performance Works and was sent the link to this to answer any questions on

Once we got all teh wiring worked out on the vehicle its acutally a very straight forward job, be it a greddy emanage or the haltech interceptor unit which we woudl use.

Next time we do a car whether its this one or another one we will be changing the igntiion setup to be able to do teh igntiion timing setup for full complete tuning ability.

But any questions on this feel free to ask away as I am happy to answer them. I trust everyone like the cold air kit we did on the vehicle :D

    G'day David

I'm also from Perth, i drive a 2003 v6 camry sportivo. The cold air intake looks awesome and i'm seriously thinking of coming in to talk to you guys about some tuning work on my car.

The guy that owns the RPW Magna with twin turbo lives down the road from me and the work done on that is awesome!! :D

    cya soon

  6. Pethcamry

That is AWESOME!! Definitely going to pay a visit to Racing Performance Works. I'm very impressed with the cold air intake!!! :D

Yes ive finaly decided and gone ahead with ordering a sportivo sports muffler for mine, cant wait

Once again that looks fantastic!!

  7. Hi Terry

Muffler sounds great I also have a V6 and r like you continplating on whether to go for the sportivo exhaust from toyota or goto a exhaust place mmmm.....decisions, decisions

yeah it is a tough decision...

especially if you as paranoid about it being loud as i am

ive was thinking about it for months, and finally got around to getting it :P

if you want a muffler, but dont want something super loud, however it still noticable that you have an aftermarket muffler installed, i reckon the Sportivo Muffler is very good choice :)

its probably one of the quietiest 'Sports' Mufflers out there im guessing...

if you want one, better hurry up, only 20 left in all of Australia according to what my local dealership has told me

they arent making them anymore apparently.

Thanks looks like i'd better make my decision quickly or i might miss out cheers for the info :D

  8. WHo are you going through to get your sportivo chipped and how much will it cost ya?

going through RPW in Osborne Park. $1400, CAI 150ishand headers ???? not even sure if there are any

Yeah I know the place the owner has a turbo charged magna just lives around the corner from me, its great that they are helping you as they usually only deal with mitsubishi lets us know how it goes

  9. was your stock tyres 205/55/16 OR 205/60/16???

If that is your stock tyres (205/55/16)and now you're on 225/45R18

your speedo reading will be 4.4% slower than what you're actual speed is. (speedo reads 100kph but actual speed is really 104.4kph)

Thats an interesting point. Because I have one demerit pt left I use cruise nearly all the time. For example coming home from work down reid hwy the limit is 90kmph, I set the cruise on 95, theres always a speed camera in the same spot at least once every week and I dont get flashed. From your theory I should get flashed at 100k's <_<

  10. hey! nice camry!!

just a TIP: paint the calipers RED looks more sportierr   :D

EDIT:  u sure those tyres are the right size for that rims? coz if im not mistaken your speedo reading might be slower than what your actual speed is.

The tyre package is: 225/45R18 Bridgestone Potenza G111

Thanks for the advise im definitely goin to paint the calipers red :D
