  1. Thanks Terry, this is happening at every servo i fill up at, i took it back to toyota and they said there was nothing wrong with the fuel system, but when i got the car i didnt have this problem

ah i think i know what might be the problem...

when you put the nozzle into the fuel hole, you shove it right into the hole dont you? :P

try moving the nozzle back out about half way, and it should fix the problem...

    it works for me ;)

well this is how the pump works, interesting to know i guess

  2. G'day Perthcamry,

Springs are awesome for the money i paid went with Eibach pro kit! Money well spent.

Yeah i was very surprised as well, but because i use the cruise control 24/7 this i think helps alot and also because i only hav one pt left on my licence and therefore dont want to be flashed :P

Yeah I think WA makes you watch out for them. Where in Perth are you. I am North beach way. have to organise a cruise. There was a nice black Sportivo I saw around town with 18" :P

Excellent im north of river too out Hamersley way, cruise sounds good and yeah iv seen that camry round as well

  3. Hey Spordino

    how are the springs?

Maybe the west has better air for better economy.

WOw major difference in cars consumption. Are the engines that different

  4. I also have an issue with filling my car with fuel - Every time I fill up the fuel keeps clickin as if the tank is full when its not therefore i have to hold the trigger half way which takes ages to fill up!!   Can anyone shed some light on this for us please?

ah yes, i have that problem sometimes too...

it has nothing to do with the car, it is the petrol station pumps.

at the end of the pump nozzles they have a sensor system which sees if the tank is full, so it is probably stuffed...just complain to the service station guy, and they usually get it fixed eventually

  5. Hi guys,

    I have a 03 V6 Sportivo and i have also had a few problems:

    1) Squeaky noises when turning from sterring - Was fixed when i replaced the springs and the car was lowered

    2) Front driver window sealer is deformed which is goin to be fixed in near future

    3) Hand brake at one stage wouldnt work, the car just kept rolling

Apart from that everything else is fine and my fuel economy im getting 8.5L/100km :D

    Thanks

  6. That car looks awesome especially the colour.

Mine is getting lowered this saturday, i decided to go with Eibach Pro spring kit so hopefully the outcome is good. Then want to buy the sportivo exhaust and high mount spoiler in next couple of weeks. :P

  7. Hey PerthCamry

Going to be following your idea i think after looking around at various exhaust places and after hearing leasaunce's sound clip of the sportivo muffler it will sound good on my v6 and whilst im at it upgrading to the high mount spoiler.

In couple of weeks getting king springs put on :D we shall have to catch up once this work is done cos im interested in the unichip as well. B)

  8. Excellent, Camry spotting except im a Perth based camry and most u guys are Eastern States based oh well the only camry ill be spotting is Perth Camry.

By the way i was told by a toyota dealer in WA that toyota arent making the sportivos anymore after 06 :( can anyone shed some light onto this?

  9. PerthCamry

Definitely mate ill let you know when the car goes in you can have a look

The fuel catalyst is excellent i save quite a bit on fuel now because i get more k's out of a full tank and dont have to fill up with premium anymore.

Rims are 18" by 8 1/2" and look awesome.

  10. mmm interesting

I think you've convinced me about going with king springs.

As for the sports exhaust im not to shore i almost got a custom made 304 stainless steel piping, resinator and exhaust for 1350 but didnt go through with it cos wasnt shore about the pricing.

I want something thats going to sound good but not over bearing, maybe add a bit more performance thats why i thought about the toyota sportivo exhaust which is designed for the car? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated :)

  11. Can't wait till the new 07 Sportivo is released!!!

I also want to boost the power of my sportivo and doin some investigations into it at moment, nothin to dramatic.

Just recently bought the Fitch Fuel Catalyst for my car (F6t drop-in) check out their web-site

Meant to increase Horsepower and burn less fuel.

I have noticed the difference with the fuel consumption :D but not convinced as yet about the horsepower (recently installed). Saves you money on petrol because the catalysts turn normal unleaded into premium unleaded, works on fuel even when engine is off.

  12. Cheers,

I shall definitely look into those springs. The guys at Bob Jane in Joondalup were awesome they advised me what would suit my car the best and did up a package within my price range. All up i got the Rims and Bridge Stone 225/45/R18 G111 for 2850 on 12 months interest free and was stoked  I also asked him about lowering and he reckons the Sportivo Springs wont lower the car enough so gota do some investigating.

The Sports Exhaust from Toyota is designed for the sportivo. Below are the items i got quotes for from Grand toyota in WA

    Sportivo Springs: 480

    Sports Exhaust: 358

    High Mount Spoiler: 472

    (Unfitted)

What do you guys reckon about the pricing the question is do i stick with genuine parts or go to any exhaust, or suspension stockist??

  13. Hi guys

Been a while since i last been on the forum. Ive added new Roger Jane Racing Rims to my Camry Sportivo 18" Chrome Torque. Goin to start doin other modifications firstly getting it lowered. Can anyone suggest whether i should go for the Genuine Sportivo Springs or another type such as King Springs?

  14. Where is every1? no one mods their camrys?

i think they all go to toyotanation.com

thats where every1 voices their opinions..

well to all the camrys out there PEACE!

i just found this place :)

anyway, like you said most Camry owners go to ToyotaNation, like me and you :P

but yeah, where are all the other Aussie Camry owners on this forum?

    G'day

I just found this place as well. Im loooking at modifing my 2003 sportivo v6 anyone got any suggestions? :D Deano
