This one is from my iPhone, just washed her with FW1 waterless car wash.

i'd say that last shot has been over-photoshoped =P

  2. advice, don't try to hit LIFT until the car has reached optimum running temperature, that will fix your problem.

apparently if you try to hit lift when the engine is cold or warm, VVTL-i won't be able to do its thing, until your car is all warmed up, then just LIFT to your heart's content :P

So no going it as soon as its been running for 5 minutes.

    Anyone care to add?

    Evo

I dont think it has anything to do with lift as he says the bogging down happens around 3000-5000rpm.. way before lift kicks in, and it happens even when the engines warm?

Doesnt sound like something common.. just wait around for a bit and surely someone can help you out.

  3. So you went from hot hatch to hotter hatch then.Looking good especially the rims. Can i ask how much for powdercoating?

    :toast::toast:

lol yeh i guess.. powdercoating cost me $150 for all four wheels.

I probably could have got them done for $120 elsewhere but these guys were very quick and had great customer service.

  4. TEAM BLUE REPRESENT!! your mods are lookin pretty sweet, ill be getting my rims powder coated grey soon too but my stock rims!
Looks really good man. Nive clean example.
looking really good, i like the colour of the wheels, looks like they have a blue Tinge to it.

    Any future mods expected?

Very Nice Improvement From Stock! :) Blue FTW! :D
Ah, good... the grille made it to you intact then! B)

Bargain it was, they stung me 10 bucks for postage!!!

Good to see you putting it to use though, more than it was doing in my garage...

Thanks guys =) for the positive feedback.

Everything I did to my car was all influenced by this forum so

I'm glad to hear that you guys like what I've done..

As for future mods.. not too sure.

Maybe just some KYB Excel G's or even Koni reds/yellows to replace the oem shocks when they go and an Exedy HD clutch+fly wheel.

Other stuff like strut braces, shortshifter+weighted gear knob, coilovers, power fc, I'll consider if they pop-up in the forum for a good price.

But yeh, I might be looking to buy something turbo(MPS 3/6, 09 WRX, XR5, Golf GTI, Evo 8/9, GTR),

prefably something all-paw or tail happy in the next few months so might hold back on everything.

  6. Hey Everyone,

    Update for you all :D

We now have these door sills in Australia already :D

so now it won't be long before i have my hands on my set, and then i will post everyone's out :D

I'm expecting these to show either this week (possibly tomorrow) or sometime next week :D

I will keep you all updated :D

    Evo

    Woot!

I hope someone organizes a group install in Sydney.. :P

  7. how about some yaris-like mudguards? :)

Don't mind the look of the mudguard option - has anyone here gone this way?

(My car still looks too a55-up without a skirt or something to tie it in with the side skirts.....)

Wow.. I would definitely go for the mudguards!

Anyone know if they are still available? Or where I can source them from?

  8. This is at another TOCA members (Semil) hotel party 2 years ago...

Im the one on the left. Semil is the one in the middle.

    PB1100111.jpg

Dude, the guy on the right wouldn't happen to be Sezgin? Right?

  9. Best compromise is going lows in the front and super lows in the rear. Car sits dead level and the slightly heavier spring rate in the rear improves the car's handling characteristics out of sight. with super lows on the front and rear getting into and out of places is a biatch. Draggin your guts on speed bumps ain't my idea of having fun. Plus watch the front lip as it will cop a hiding as well.

on stock shocks the back will sit lower..

i am on KYB's with the lows up front and super low rears

    P1020530.jpg

    P1020529.jpg

Hey mate, just wondering how do the KYB shocks feel compared to your king lows/super lows+stock shocks?

I'm thinking about getting them and just wanted to know, was there any improved handling or comfort?

And do the KYB shocks come as a complete strut?

    Cheers,

    dlift
