  1. All of the plastic bits in the LC200 are clip on. the first bits to remove are the ashtray in front of the gear stick, then the two large side plastic covers then progress slowly. Use a fine long screwdriver to locate the lugs. the electronics are all bolted in to the frame Biing
  2. The LC200 Sahara has a satnav screen and a dvd changer. It will play a dvd movie when the vehicle is stopped and the handbrake is on. Aparently there are 2 switches that will return the satnav screen to satnav mode from dvd mode. There is one for the handbrake and also one somewhere else. However if you defeat the handbrake switch the dvd movie will play but as soon as the vehicle starts moving it switches to satnav mode. Moving the gear stick does not change anything while the vehicle is stationary.
  3. Have just discovered that the LC200 Sahara (maybe on VX nd GXL too) side mirrors dip to assist in reversing when reverse gear is selected. However this will only occur when the side mirror electric control lever is pushed to the left. (maybe will work if pushed to right too).
  4. Thule actually have a solution You will need a rack system from the VW transporter range. I had Thule at Artarmon, Sydney fit my LC200. They have now done 2 LC200 Biing

  6. My LC200 diesel will shift to 6th on the highway at about 115kmh so long as the highway is not on an incline and I am not towing anything. It's actually a double overdrive. 4th gear is direct drive 1:1 ratio, 5th is overdrive at about 0.75:1 and 6th is the 2nd overdrive at about 0.58:1 This is why the petrol LC200 can't have this particular 6 speed auto because it cannot (like all petrol engines) generate enough torque to drive 6th gear at such high ratios at 1600rpm which is the engine speed at 110kmh. Even in the diesel 6th gear will not be used much. Biing
  7. LC100 roof racks will not fit LC200. The distance between the bolts are narrower in the LC200. Essentially the OEM roof racks are rhinorack originated. So if you have rhino commercial bars they will fit, but Toyota will only sell you the rack system complete with bars. Biing
