Quite frankly .... I'd be kinda happy with just the exhaust and rear end of the TRD ... How awesome does it look. Real tough even.

Looking good mate ... real good actually. Lots of luck keeping it looking so nice ... I just sold a black commodore to get our Aurion ... so I know you'll have your work cut out for you ... the chrome .. looks really good on black ... nice choice. What tyre size you end of with? 245/30ZR20?
-
Hey Paul
Excellent choice mate. Hard and fast Commodore man as I was the wife helped me see the light and by gees I'm glad she did. As for your tyre and rim combo question? 245/35ZR19 on an 19x8 wheel. I have these on mine with no problem at all. The only similarity that this car has with the ford is the same stud pattern in wheels as for the rest ... sorry but I fail to see it. congrats on the new car I'm sure you gunna be more than happy

I took a corner today in the company ute and saw this candy car coming towards me ... immediate thought struth ... that looks like an Aurion TRD and bugger me it was .... second thought wholly **** that's nice even with all the police colours all over it. So there you go ppl they are getting around ... even in Townsville

Hey Sanz
How u doin mate ... I was just wondering if you had thought about putting mud spats on your car now u have those 19x8's on it ... they are 8' hey. I'm sure you have noticed that a bit more road grime, especially tar seems to be thrown up on the car now. Just a question for you and an opinion ... I have thought about it myself.
Cheers

Thanks for the comments. Pretty happy with them and the performance of the whole vehicle has change somewhat. A little more rigid on the road, understandable, and a lot more positive ... not that it wasn't sure on the road in the first place. Thanks for the price offer, if I decide to change them I'll give you a holla. Been a commodore man for the last 5 - 6 years ... am I glad I saw the light .. well okay then my wife saw the light ... and pleased she talked me into a test run
Cheers

After getting our ZR6 we decided that we needed to spruce it up a bit. So the tint went on and then off to the local T-Mart to see what was available in the way of wheels and tyres. Originally we were going to go for the 18" Medusa that we had seen on several different makes of cars. Hmm ... pretty common looking wheel and we just weren't sure if this is whatr we wanted. Looking at all that was on display our focus made it's way to the BBoos range of wheels .... hmmm .. pretty classy looking and at the same time sporty as well. Attached photo's show our choice in a 19x8 BBoss Sylvia fitted up with a 246/35ZR19 Maxxis ... package cost around the 2 1/2K. We went along to Peddars after that and asked about lowering the vehicle. I mentioned what I had read on this forum about 35mm and 55mm they tell me only one size spring is made for the Aurion which will take it down about 42mm. Does this sound about right ... not sure where some ppl got 35 and 55mm? Anyway .. Fulcrum ... they are another story ... had nothing to offer me without getting in touch with King Springs so I guess I'll give them a miss. Cost for lowering, including fitting, $590. Is that reasonable?
Cheers Ppl

For those interested http://www.bbosswheels.com/ in there you will find the Silvia wheels .. pretty classey I thought. The Townsville guy ... How you doing ... from there myself cheers mate
The ANZ weels are also very nice. The Silvia are nice, but I think I'd prefer the Maddisons (each to their own). The Silvia look like they'd be a b!tch to clean, are they? I'd hate to have to get the toothbrush out and put aside an afternoon.
What tyre does the ZR6 come with from the factory? Is it Michelin like the Presara? I have Michelin on mine and they seem like very good tyres, I'd be sad to let them go... Maybe I'll save the wheel upgrade for the next first tyre change... I wonder how many kms the Michelins will last.
Haven't actually got them yet they get fitted on Saturday as for cleaning ... a small price to pay for keeping the car clean I guess ... I imaging I might have to spend a bit more time on them but that's okay From memory, without stepping outside to look ... 215/55x17 Michelin ... yes nice tyre to drive on .. a little noisey I thought but stick like $hit to a blanket. The new one's ... well we will just have to wait and see ... given a much larger footprint I'm sure they will hang on ... and for the wet .. plenty of those sipes to contend with the water. I'll keep you informed

G'day mate, you live here now or you somewhere else??

Hey Beaves
Live here now mate and found this forum by mistake after looking around for a bit of Aurion news before we took the plunge. Still trying to sell my VYS after what they offered me for a trade better off a private sale I reckon.

Neway I notice this is all about wheels and just thought I'd throw my 2 bobs worth in. The Silver Aurion BTW ... very nice and I agreee as far as the lowering goes ... would be nice but yeah well those speed bumps I have just purchased our wheels and tyre package from Bob Jane .. really help full guys we ended up with BBOSS Silvia's in a 19x8 with a 245/35ZR19 MRz-1 Maxxis ... not a bad looking tyre I have had them before on a Commodore I own .. neway they arrive on Saturday ... can't wait. For those interested http://www.bbosswheels.com/ in there you will find the Silvia wheels .. pretty classey I thought. The Townsville guy ... How you doing ... from there myself cheers mate

Hey guys
Went to buy the aurion today and the dealer told me it was an extra $2000 for the Kappa wheels which might i add look fairly nice and really set the car off. the $2000 does not include a credit for the wheels already fitted on the car, when i asked what happens to the wheels the dealer simply told me they are kept as spares for toyota. Is he lieing to me or whats the go because thats pretty unfair me paying for wheels which i dont get
Also is there a way to trade the existing aurion wheels in to some place if i buy the car without kappa's and then decide i want the kappa wheels?
thanks guys
How u doin mate. I have only just spoilt myself and bought an Aurion ZR6 ... what a great car. This weekend I get it fitted with 19x8 BBOSS wheels (silvia) and the 245/35zr19 ... damn I forget the brand ... pretty nice looking tyre neway. You should take a look at there website and see what you think. http://www.bbosswheels.com/ The price for the package was just over 2k which did include a trade from Bob Jane. See what you think anyway
Ciao
