  1. Went out the other day and bought a Yaris YRS 1.5 Auto Sedan for mum.

We signed on a Oct 07 build Silver Sedan.

Got Auto, 6 year warranty, Floormats, Headlight protectors, and the Safety Pack with the extra airbags.

Drove it away for exactly 20k.

Brand new, they had it in stock.

We went in at 12.30 on the 31st dec, they were keen to deal and rego it that day. (wanted to boost figures i think). It was in their yard, so they were able to rego it, do the pre delivery and we picked it up 3.30 the same afternoon. She loves it.

We had another price from another yard without the safety pack for $20,800.

    Good price?

    good price

  2. Hi guys!

I've just bought a new Yaris sedan YRS. Just curious what's your usual consumption.

I refueled it only twice. First time I got 8.3 per 100 km, last time 9.2/100. Looks a bit much though I don't accelerate much (usually don't go higher than 2000-2500 rpm). But 95% of time I drive in city - not on highways. I use normal unleaded petrol (Coles Express).

Anyway it'll be interesting to know your figures.

I used at 98octane petrol. Its more economical and helps clean your engine aswell rather than unleaded. I have a YRS sedan '06 manual. usually reach at least 600km before the last bar on the fuel gauge blinks. approx 6.5li/100km

  4. Has anyone done much highway travel in a Yaris? I have just taken a new job which will result in a bit of travel to and from work (in excess of 100km each way) almost all of which will be on highways or motorways and I am considering a Yaris (for fuel economy). Has anyone had any expereience? How does a Yaris handle at 110kmh for long stretches? Any cabin noise issues?

I have a YRS sedan '06 manual. I've reached 155kmh and you can still feel it can give more power upto 160-170 even. smooth ride. Just be cautious though on the steering with that speed. My tyre pressure is usually 34-37psi. I agree with enforcer, it can reach upto 620km before it hit the last bar in the fuel gauge. very economical and spacious.
