    Hi Guys,

    Just wondering where everyone takes their Stivo in Adelaide for Service.

    Need to have the 20K one done but also would like to raise a couple of minor issues (common faults), but don't want to get the dumb look and have them tell me they've "never heard of such a problem". :blink:

    Also don't hear much from you guys in SA so maybe a good time for a bit of a get together.

    im using a TT01 and it really is all you need if you wanna drift. I'll never be into the racing scene so i found spending the amount of money involved in some of these cars a little over the top.

    Bearings are a good starting point and i upgraded the motor but to what i cant remember, also a big battery as drifting uses loads of power the only problem is heat. But hey mine never lit on fire

    also locking the rear diff is a good idea for drifting but drive it standard first.

    To lock the diff all you do is put something like bluetac or playdoh in it so that it wont slip, i think i put cardbaord in mine in the end as i found that it would slowely turn into a limited slip diff.

    Some ppl put oneway diffs in the front as well but i think the cost outways the benefit.

    Futaba 2PH is okay entry level stuff. Personally, I bought for the Futaba 2PL because it has a few more features. Make sure it's either 27 or 29 Mhz AM and if possible has C Tick compliance.

    TT01 is a good entry level car, ideal for drifting and strong as a brick to withstand major collisions. It just has limitations on motor spur gear and pinion combinations meaning you won't be able to gear as high as everyone else at the local race track. Also i don't think it has camber adjustments either, but you can alway buy aftermarket stuff that will let you do it.

    ohh...geez hahah well as long as its good and fun, thats good enoug for me ^_^ drifting all i want cheers

    Its a very basic AM radio but it has all the important features you need to start out with. Futaba is a good quality brand. Stay away from hitec.

    cool mate...cheers. I got good price for a brand new ones. the guy bought the wrong ones. total is $91 delivered. maybe 100+ in the shop or more....^_^

    haha this thread fully got out all the RC nutters :P I want one now!!

    they are nice used to work in a hobby store, have a few myself not drift car but rc :D,

    NOTE:

    dont waste your money buying a drift car all they are is an electric car with hard plastic wheels u can make ANY car a drift car easy :

    just tape or put pvc piping on the rear wheels and there u have it a drift car/normal car when u want ..... or u can or buy the plastic tyres from a hobby store but the other ways are cheater

    OMG!the past few days...im looking at these cars.these pics makes me want them more....more!!i got quote from hobbyshop $350 inc petrol, receiver, remote control and lots of extras!!bargain maybe i'll ask him to throw in some slick tyres as well ^_^ cant wait!

    yeah, you're right. i think i got abit excited. sprayed the 2nd coat (even this time) and it looks much better

    So... I'm driving east to Pakenham for a family function today. My mum's in the passenger seat. Not far out of Pakenham there is slow traffic up ahead so I get into the left lane and go to overtake. Just as I'm about to overtake this commodore he pulls out in front of me. I just thought he didn't see me so I tooted to make my presence known.

    After that he gets in the left lane and pulls along side of me and starts screaming and waving his fist out the window. Meanwhile my mum is petrified. He's saying "I had plenty of room ya little *****, i'll knock ya **** lights out". He wasn't a small guy either. He looked like a pit bull in attack mode. So I couldn't get rid of him I'd slow down and so would he. He then sped up and cut me off and hit his brakes. So i swerved around him and hit 2nd gear and tried to disappear but my mum told me to slow down. she was scared so i did. I told her "that's it! call the cops. this guy is a psycho". So she did. but she was so scared she could hardly get words out through her crying. We gave the cops the rego and everything. I just hope they did somethin about it.

    If anyone sees a white vx ss commodore reg: TCO641. Stay clear of it I say.

    Has anyone else had any similar incidents happen to them?

    I'd like to find this guy and put a brick through his window... and face. What ever happened to road manners? :help:

    Hey Everyone,

    As most of you know a couple of years ago I drove my car into a pond at a race day at darlingtom park up here in qld, it just so happened that the video camera I had setup caught all the action and I have finally gotten around to sending it into funniest home videos... well It was just on and i have just checked the website and i made it into the top 4

    Springs installation price

    hello guys. i'm looking for a good place to install my springs. these are lowered 30mm ones. now i gotta quote from midas and they said it would be around $300. i also called mount druitt suspension and they quoted me $180-$250 installation including wheel alighnment. does anyone know a good suspension joint where i can get a better deal? or is mount druitt suspension a reasonable price??

    hey dude, i install mine at profix. $250 inc wheel alignment. u can ask them to bargain it down.
