  1. I thought I'd just move this, so it doesn't get lost in the tail light section

Here is the link to the US DIY's to paint your headlights

No need for a DIY same as US version with the following differences.

1.When taking the bumper off disconnect the foglights. When all the bolts are off, just pull the sides of the bumper since they are cliped in then pull foward. Just take the whole bumper off its easier to work with.

2.There are 3 three bolts in our headights. 2 on top and one on the side. A little notchy/clip thing holds in the bottom to the car.

2.With the headlights out have you will notice our lights have these little screws holding the lense in. So take off all of them around the outside plus one near the indicator lamp before placing in oven.

4.We also took alll our globes out before placing in oven.We left the wiring in.

3.We used an oven temp of 170 deg celcius. Be sure to turn the oven off, place it on hand towel and make sure no parts of the light are touching any metal in the oven.

4.When u take it out be quick cuz the sealant will dry. We put the first one back in the oven 4 times before we could get the lense off.

5.We didnt have use any more sealant. I just checked my car this morn, on a moist, dewey morning in the hills of Upwey and they are as clear as daylight. So the seal is good.

6.You wont be able to put the lense and casing on properly till you put it back in the oven. So just sit them in as well as u can.

7.As soon as you get out of the oven, be quick and push the lense and casing toghether and put in all the screws.

8.We put our lights back in the oven 1 more time just to let the sealant soften then clamped around the outside.

    Thats it.

We were very nervous about puting our lights in the oven, but they did not melt at all and there is no moisture in my headlights this moring, so the seal is good. It a worthwhile mod, our cars look so much better now.

But take care, cuz you must be cautious when doing this mod. I take no responsibility here.

  2. The headlight mod is done.

Specialized32 and I did this mod yesterday (it took all day to do 2 sportivos).

Ive tried to upload pics but it keeps saying the adminitrator has not enabled it in the uploads directory, even though ive always been able to upload pic b4.

  3. Your best off emailing them and asking if they have an Australian distributor...

Loving the rear bumper and spoiler :D

That kit is sik. I wanna get the rear underskirt, rear spoiler, and the rear hatch add on thing. They completely fix up the plain/sissy look of the rear.

I'm really interested a group buy, so let me know what you find.

  4. That web site is sick

R these lexeus 1S200 headlights on a rolla with a modified eyelid to fill in the gaps?

    http://page.freett.com/mania51ncv/3%20b%20led2.htm

they look like the HD Corolla lights to me, but of course I cannot confirm, hell, only he(website owner) knows probably.

I'm not sure what corolla HD lights are, but they look just like this Lexus

  5. im in love :D that is one nice facelift rolla so zav what you doing on the weekend? I sense a home project here on our headlights cause that looks sik

I was thinking the same. There is DIY on the 9thgen forums. I'll just need a couple clamps with soft type grips, black high temp paint, n pre-heat the oven.

We have to drop the bumper to get the lights out, n Ive never taken the bumper off, so i'tll take the longest.

See what the weather is like, Prob Sat though.

  6. From my understanding of what ZAV wants to do, it would be like driving with your hazzards on the whole time but they wouldnt be blinking.....so im pretty sure the boys in blue would take an interest

I just think it wouldnt pass inspection when it comes to rego.

We dont have annual RWC down here in Victoria. We just get a RWC when buying a car and thats it. But also corzza those altezza lights you have a defect too since they are not ADR approved.

But yeah I'm not saying it is legal. I am just saying that they will look like orange parkers (which in some factory cars is legal in oz), and its not something i'm likely to get pulled over for, since I have had a simular set-up in my old car for 3 years. Anyway I'll prob hook it up to my fog lights so I can turn it off when I want. If I get pulled over for it I'll just disconect it if I get a canary, then put it back on later.

  7. Pretty certain it's defectable in Australia for having these sort of lights. The cars you mentioned do no have this...

Blue_Stivo all I know is that those cars definentely do have orange lights as parkers instead of white/clear, whether they indicate or not i'm not sure, but i like the USA style effect. Have a closer look when you see one, the Volvo also has them on the side of the front and rear bumper. So I dont think orange is illegal its just using your indicators and not being factory which is illegal, but I never got picked up on my old car and i had it for 3 years.

Anyway in my old car I swapped by indicator and parker around so the the indicator was permenatley illuminated while I replace the parker with an orange globe and it looked mad.

But I cant do this with the Rolla so I need the indicator and parker (orange) as the same globe.

  8. I am ready to order a new 4300K HID kit for my stivo (I had 6000K before but was a bit bright and made me nervous around cops), and then recently discovered that you can get factory HID lights in the jap spec corolla. Id feel more comfortable if I bought factory HID lights rather than aftermarket ones. Does any1 know how we can order a set of these.

    http://toyota.jp/corollarunx/x_hidselection/

Hey bro do u wanna sell ur old ones??? :D i like 6000k

    Already Sold

  9. What I want to do is have my front indicators light up constantly with my headlights on and blink when I indicate to turn. Many USA vehicles have this set up.

In my old car I just reversed my parkers and indicators around since they were in the same unit and the parkers were not in the headlight. Anyway it lookes awsome on dark coloured cars, so id love to do it to my 2005 stivo.

The closest DIY I can find on the net is as follows were the owner is trying to light up the bumper indicators. But the problem is that his corner signals already light up and blink when turning (USA Honda Legend) which is how he hooked up his install.

Does any1 out there know how to do this mod on a corolla, or heard of a simular DIY on another vehicle.

  10. Ive read that phillips dont actually make aftermarket hid kits. They just sell the ballasts and globes, whilst the connections etc are put toghether in china and sold as hid kits. So if you buy a Phillips HID kit, it not really a phillips kit, it just uses phillips parts.

  11. Hmm. I have a 600RMS @ 4ohm amp running my sub and a 40RMS x 4 @ 4ohm amp sunning my speakers, and I'm running stock battery with stock ground wires and I dont get any light flicker, even when the stereo is fully cranked. I had the same setup in my old car and i had a lot of light flicker. Maybe you guys should re-think the position of your ground wires for your amps if your getting flicker.
