  1. Hi there!

I've already posted this in the Buy/Sell section, but haven't had much luck :(

I'm posting on behalf of my sister .. she has a 1996 Corolla AE102 1.8L CSX Seca auto. She had a collision a few months back with a guy who won't budge .. insurance aren't willing to do any of the groundwork so it seems like a lost cause. As a result, we're looking to fix it ourselves ..

The two doors on the passenger side need replacing. The pillar has a slight crease in the middle, but we could get without fixing that.

If anyone has two spare doors (passenger side: front and back) that they're looking to offload, plz get in touch with me. My e-mail address is looneytoonster@gmail.com

I can pick up from anywhere around Bris, GC and Sunny Coast .. I'm located in Bris myself. Just hit me with what u have, where ur at and how much ur willing to part with it for ..

Although the car is silver, there is no colour preference. FYI, the car has electric windows. I guess it doesn't really matter if the doors are complete or just shells .. I could just strip the doors on there now and transfer all the stuff over.

I'm looking forward to hearing something (I have my fingers crossed!) ..

    Thanks, Paul

You'd be best off going to the wreckers or roam other forums like twincam.org, boostcruising.com classifields, tradingpost.com.au. I know a bloke who used to repair Corollas specifically in his backyard shed and may still have parts left. I'll contact him for you and see if he got anything left for what you need.

  2. Hi. yes as topic states I am slowly looking at getting another car and ditching my ae92 corolla. My budget is approximately $15g maybe more maybe less depends. Anyways I wanna get a non-turbo straight 6 Supra the new 1Js. Now it is worth getting a n/a supra? And which is better to get it in manual or auto transmission? How far off insurance is it differ from turbo Supra? Oh yeah I am 20 so turbo is a no go as I can afford it but can't risk it all to insurance coz I still study. Or do you think don't even bother with a supra??

  3. I know there are lots of hilux lovers out there. yes those low riders cruising round. Air bagged suspension, turboed, hydros, doof doof. commerical vehicles that aren't seen to be "sporty" well well. Welcome the "Catalyst". mmm yes its a lil old nows, but hey for those who never heard of it and to just stirr this particular forum up I'll post it.

Here's the official Toyota Catalyst site

I'll add pics of other hiluxs too.

  4. The 99-2000 Sportivo was turbocharged from factory.

Sorry my bad. I thought they made a non-turbo sportivo for those years and produced only a limited/special edition or somehting as turbo.

You beat me too it bro.... although the 2001 AE112R Corolla Sportivo, only ever available in Gold based on the Levin only had 115kw ATFW.

I understand that this was as good as a bolt on kit as the cars came from Japan as a Standard Levin and the turbo kit was fitted on the docks in Sydney, so if your desperate and you have a AE112R, I am sure you could source this kit as a bolt-on....you'll probably find though that it'd cost mass bikkies to do it... huh.gif

But then when the 03/04 & 05 Sportivo has 141kw N/A, why would you bother....

but but but then again, they are different engines too....the 112R had a 7-AFE where the 123R has a 2ZZ-GE...

Just please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please,

    do not get a Sylvia....

Interesting. didn't know they came as standard Levins from japan and nor did i know they fitted the turbos at the docks.

  5. dude you sure you never installed one of those "Rice Effect" Electronic BOVs that can be bought on the net for $59.95 + postage. ROFL!!!

    OR

Did toyota decide to add this as an upgrade for the 05 rollas to improve the sportyness? :P
