  1. thnks again for the comments :)

im putting eyelids on it soooon (probably this week). always had em, but wasnt sure whether to put them on. but u get overall the idea :P

Hey Jack nice ride. What kind of camera was used for your first pic?

i have a canon proshot1. whilst it was great in its day, i got it in 04. so theres probably business card size ones out now with equal to or better spec :P and you do know the first pic is almost entirely 'shopped yeh? ;) haha

  2. HUMMINBIRD works around the midland area as I see him/her regularly

Now onto more pressing matters spotted a ZRE152 White Hatch around 745am yesterday at Roe Hwy/ Great Eastern Hwy Bypass. It was totally decked out with TRD Decals as if it where owned by Toyota as some form of dealer car. Didnt get a real good look but also had the full back windscreen stickered with something. Anyone seen this driving around???

yeh i think i might have seen it .. one i saw had trd in black print and red shaddow down the side of the car, under the door trim, from front wheel arch to rear arch!

  3. oh wow. ummm. well i have done it, for my pioneers, but mines an 03 and doesnt have electric windows. so will be a bit different.

GOOD NEWS; dont need to cut up ur interior. basically theres a screw hidden behind a cap in the door handle, thatll need to be removed. (theres a bit of a process to removing the window winding arm but i presume that doesnt apply here). and the interior trim of the door is secured to the tin of the door by about 5 or 6 plastic like plugs, which just need a bit of a >gentle< tug to come off. but dont cut up your door. theres definately no need for that.

BAD NEWS; the speaker and plastic mounting to the door is one component, so if you want to replace the speaker, ur gonna have to talk to toyota. if you want to put an aftermarket speaker in there, u can buy one and bolt it onto the door. but for better sound quality i wouldnt short cut and put some painted wood/mdf inbetween ur new aftermarket speaker and the tin of the door.

    speakers i used were 6" or 16cm.

    hope this helps.

p.s. check it is the speaker thats at fault, not the amp in head unit

  4. how did you adhere the eyelid to the headlamp?

.. its comes with a patch of double sided tape .. but is that what you used? i question whether its enough considering the weathering and temp differences it will experience. any tips on what to do/use? or what not to do/use? is the method u used safe on the plastic headlamp? (or do you accept that it will damage the lamp, but not be seen)

any input on eyelids in general (like em? dont like em? tips, methods) would be great n much appreciated :)

  5. Saw a silver or light blue Corolla wagon @ 1pm with aftermarket grill kinda behind me at corner of Beach Rd and Wanneroo Rd, they turned off at Wanneroo Rd. Only saw it for a sec.

:o :o another wagon!? wasnt me.

hmmm there i was thinking i was one a kind <_< grrrr

  6. hahaha i was entering the freeway and i saw a slammed dark blue rolla going down the freeway, so thinking it was another tuned rolla i decided i would get a closer look, even tho it was now a minute ahead (a long time on a freeway) ;) turns out it wasnt slammed, just some people that packed heaps of **** in the back :D haha. still 99.9% ninja  :P

  7. I've read these threads on a few forums and there seems to be a real bandwagon of "oMg i'M nEvEr WaTcHiNg ThIs AgAiN iT's So ***** lolololol"

Guess what..... it's not the same as Top Gear UK. Shock horror. The presenters aren't as experienced and the track is different. And, if you compared budgets the same way you compared penises, SBS is hung like an acorn where as the BBC is packing a Collins Class Submarine down the front of it's dacks. It's not just feasible to compare every facet of the infant Aussie version to the UK/worldwide steamroller. I'm as big a fan as they come of the UK version too but I'll happily watch the boys broadcasting from Bankstown Airport in the knowledge that it's the best thing we've ever had locally.

My only concern is that they'll hold back on the criticism of the cars in order to keep the manufacturers pleased. In my opinion this is what has plagued the Aussie motoring shows of the past.

That maybe so, but SBS surely must have known that there was no way Top Gear Australia could compete with Top Gear UK. Top Gear UK is in another league (or planet for that matter!) and inarguably one of the best TV series to hit the TV. So DON'T go chasing and paying for the rights to affiliate it with TOP GEAR UK!!!! Give THE SERIES ANOTHER NAME for crying out loud!! But it's too late now. Personally, I think its aweful, its embarrassing and it's an injustice for the program to share the same name. I hope it doesn't reach the shores of other countries or star on Top Gear Uk. PUT >LATEST< TOP GEAR UK ON.

It's like saying "We've tried our best to make a performance car, but we know it's not that good and inferior . .. but we'll paint it red and sell it as a Ferrari."

  8. i must admit i have upgraded the grill and the eyelids, but havent summoned up the courage to mount them on.

im still in two minds about putting them on

    What's there to think about?

    Is eyelid Is good.

    Do it , do it.

    :)

i think i risk causing offence if i state. :P
