Hello, We had our car stolen about 2 weeks ago and I’ve now officially lost all hope of finding it. This puts me in a spot to find a vehicle to get the family back on the road. I’ve got 3 kids under 6 so we’re very dependent on a car. The dilemma is an Avensis vs a 4WD!!! We like the Avensis as it’s a 7 seater, good 2.4L engine and we can get a decent car with low kms within our budget (20K – 30K). On the other hand I like to get our kids out and about which is why I like the idea of a 4WD, but with the stupid cost of petrol I’m looking at the diesel version as I’ve been told this is much more economical that the petrol version. Is this true? The ongoing running cost for an Avensis is approx $222.00 as per NRMA vehicles running cost. I couldn’t find the exact details for the Landcruiser Prado diesel version on the NRMA sight as there are no many models in these vehicles. Can someone please let me know what’s the exact model number of a Landcruiser Prado diesel version? And off course, if there’s someone out there who has already done the math with this comparison please help me out by sharing the information. Thanks in advance

Insurance would have helped, but it this case: Its our first and only car since we came to Australia Lots of fond memories, including bringing our kids back from the hospital etc anyway, I'll keep looking and if you guys see something please help out. Is there a national register for lost/stolen cars that I can register in?

Hi All, I'm new to this and found the forum because my Camry got stolen last week. Hoping someone's taken it for a joyride and dumped it somewhere in Sydney area, so if someone spots it please report it to your nearest cop shop. Details are as follows: • Maroon Toyota Camry • Rego - VMP 528 • Make - 1998 • Model - CSi I've attached a photo of a similar car, as I don’t have any decent photo's of our car. Our car has a few bumps on the front and back bumpers on the left hand side. Saying that, if these thieves are professional they've possibly chopped her up by now. Anyway, we're hoping some lazy ***** bunch of kids have taken it for a joyride and have dumped it, or will dump it soon enough. Being a long weekend it could be anywhere, but if you do see a car with the above description please call the Auburn Police on 96468699. We had this car for 10 years now and we have many fond memories in this car. As much as I don’t like to chances of us finding it – we can only HOPE. Thanks in advance for you help guys Cheers
