  1. Go the Grande, you will regret it forever if you don't. I agree the wood grain isn't the best but it does set it apart and you get used to it very quickly. A friend just bought a new Landcruiser and already regrets not going top of the range. The tax man will help payfor it, go on spoil yourself, you deserve it...
  2. I have just had my wheels checked because of the thread on this forum and I had noticed some slight feathering on the outside of the front tyres. The local Toyota Dealer (I didn't purchase the car from them) gave me a complimentary wheel alignment at Bridgestone. They found that both the front and rear wheels were out of alignment! Must of been that way since it came from the factory as I have only just done 6000ks on my AWD. I am happy I found out early and pleased that the Toyota Dealership was more than helpful.
  3. $595 per year, agreed value of $60,000 on a 2008 AWD Grande. RAC WA. I did an quote on Budget Direct. $440 fully comp. Has anybody had any dealings with this company, inparticular making a claim?
  4. Finally picked up our new Crystal Pearl Grande AWD on Friday morning and drove it home from Perth to Geraldton (420k's) later that afternoon Having ordered it on the 21st May it has been a long wait but well worth waiting for. What a lovely car and what a great drive home. It sticks like glue to the road and passes road trains like they are standing still. With 200 killer wasps under the bonnet it certainly a lot of fun. Glad to be part of the club. An eventually satisfied new Toyota owner.
  5. They assure me its somewhere, they just don't know where! It was ordered on May 21st so should be on the latest ship to arrive (the one you car was on). I have seen the stock order so I know it exists. I am not sure if its Toyota or the dealer that is the problem. If I have no delivery date by the end of next week I will take your advice and cancel my order. I have been informed that you can't cancel within three months of signing. We shall see. The waiting continues.........
  6. You are doing well. I thought I was doing the right thing and buying local (WA) as I could have got the same deal in NSW and had it delivered in 12 days. I signed the Offer to Purchase on 21st May and have been told the 12th June, 15th July 18th July, 31st July and now "we don't know when it will arrive". Very frustrating and has really taken the excitement away. Should of bought the Touareg as was the original choice!!!! Does 'Because it’s a factory order' (although nothing out of the norm) sound familiar to anybody?
  7. Kluger Grande Crystal Pearl, 1 month ago to the day $57K drive away, Stewart Toyota Sutherland....and it was in stock with 4kms on it Is that 2WD or AWD?
  8. Hello all. New member from WA signing in. Have been reading the forum for awhile. Very impressed with the standard of advice and information. RR you are a machine. After a fair bit of negotiation I was offered a AWD Grande with O k's from a dealer in country NSW for $58,500. I would then have to pay for transport to WA ($1500) registration ($550) and Stamp Duty ($3800). All up $64,300 on road. Which was a price I was reasonably happy with but had the hassle of getting it here as well not getting the exact combination of colour and interior of choice. I then decided to give the WA dealers one more go. After giving them the above scenario less a few dollars for the transport, I have sign up on a Crystal Pearl Grande AWD arriving 15th July for $63,000 Drive Away. Now I have to negotiate all the other extras like the tow pack, nudge bar and spotties.
