You're a legend thanks. I called up 2 toyota dealers and they had no idea what I was talking about but when I quoted the part no you gave me they had it. Its now installed and working. Now just need to figure out if this headunit has a clock.

Basically the 2012 plug is 28pins and the 2008 is 20pins.

I believe the port for the steering wheel controls is suppose to be the plug 2nd to the bottom right

I was given a factory toyota headunit from a 2012 rav 4 (PZQ6-00523) and have tried installing it into my 2008 corolla. The headunit works but it appears the plug for the steering wheel controls for my 2008 model does not fit the 2012 stereo. Does anybody know where I can get an adapater or new harness so I can get it working?

From my understanding it goes by the date the file was modified. I find the play order annoying.

Great review, I was actually considering getting one of the Jaycar subs but from the sounds of it, it probably wouldn't of been good.

No, you'll have to make space's as the factory speaker and spacer are one piece

Ok then, will thoses mdf 6 inch spacers you can purchase at autobarn or supercheap be alrite for the front doors? I know theres one called cat6 or something but the only place i can probably find them will be ebay

I'll be installing some 6 inch splits speakers into a yaris hatch over the weekend and i was wondering if i need spacers when installing them or can i get away with using the existing speaker housing? Also where do you guys with yaris's mount the tweeter?

i know its off topic but does anybody know when the rav4 will get a facelift?

I'm pretty sure the bulb sizes would be the same as the hatch. The High beams are HB3 (9005). As for the low beams i'm not 100% sure but most likely their H11. I'm pretty sure it says which one it is in the manuall

yeah i did the course 4 years ago. Theory part was boring but the driving part was fun. Only thing that sucked was when it came to driving you had other people in you car which made it slower and handle worse

Hi i have done exactly what you want on my levin ZR. You'' probably find some exhaust tips won't fit as they are too long so be sure to get an exhaust shop to check. Also the ones that slot over the existing one requires it to be welded on.

Nice car although i think your dvd headunit sticks out too much. Are u missing the wings that fill the gaps of the side of the headunit as well?

Are you going to get the Auris door sills as well (either just brushed aluminum - Europe or with lights - JDM)?

I really want those, but last time i looked i couldnt find any solid leads to get any.....if anyone has any info on it plz tell cos ill seriously consider getting them :D

u can find the auris door sills on ebay uk. They're not cheap though

sorry not a fan of the electrical tape on the car. I can't see it looking good at all. I reckon instead of doing all the cheap stuff like the muffler, mudflaps etc just save up for the more expensive stuff like the levin side skirts.

i recently bought a 48 led interior light for my corolla from ebay and it lights up the whole inside very well.

48 LED. Sounds powerful. Does that fit in the standard mount?

As the the_random_hero said its a bulb with a plug that fits into the mount using separate board with the leds. I just managed to fit it in.

Thank goodness that i get discount from toyota because of my uncle. I got my manual levin zr with moonroof to a similar price to what you guys paid for your ascents. I also got the floor mats, headlight covers and the keyring too which i don't use :)

I think those freebies are standard ... when I say standard, you should at least get those things thrown in for free.

yeah your right those freebies are standard but u'll be surprised with people i've meet that did not get some of these stuff. i got a food hamper if thats anything free although i think they give that to most people at the dealership i got my car from. Wasn't really fussed on getting stuff for free as i was already getting a good discount and the dealer weren't really inclined to give free stuff.

i dont think youll be able to get that much freebies for that price. i think i picked up my ascent for 23500 with paint protection, mats and weathershields.

youll probably be able to get the small stuff like weathershields, mats and bonnet protector easier than you can get tints, towbar or parking sensors. (since towbar, the ball and installation costs around 400 dollars)

my suggestion would be to aim to getting at least a conquest. although i have an ascent, i do with that i picked the conquest. only reason why i didnt was the price since the car was purchased when it first came out.

with the conquest. youll get the extra power windows at the back, alloy wheels etc etc, i think you would know that already if youve been researching the car youre trying to buy.

just wounderign what do you get in the conquest u dont get on a levin sx im pretty sure its the same just levin sx has side skirts and the conquest didnt lol someone plz tell me the difference? they both cost the same.

basically the levin sx has the side skirts while the conquest has more air bags, traction control and vsc

if you seriously want me to i will :D nothing speical though. its silver with the toyota dealers store on it
