  1. Exhaust mods now complete

After gettin bored with the exhaust, Ive removed the standard system, and removed the last cat converter, as the yaris has two cats.

It now has a 2'' system with a PEX (berklee mufflers) sports resonator in place of the old resonator and an XFORCE cannon out the back.

If you're looking to fit a cannon to your Yaris, the body of the muffler can't be too big as it touches on the tow hook under the vehicle at the back.

Also, this current mod has caused the OBD II emission system to play up, logging a lean code as there is more O2 going past the O2 sensor now. My new system has much more flow compared to the standard one.Looks like its off to get tuned ASAP.

I'll post pics and a sound clip up soon.

  2. The springs cost me $200 for a set, im not sure what the retail price is though

i think it came down 2inches front and rear, it'd be lower if it didnt have 17's on it

And the reason i painted the engine cover is to be different from everyone else and break up the blackness of the engine bay.

  3. removed rear muffler

    how loud is it ?

its fairly loud at high rpm, but doesnt have that annoying buzzing noise you get with cannons.basically its got two cats as standard and the large resonator in the middle.i'll take some pics and post them up, maybe even a sound clip.its an easy mod, the only thing you have to do if you want a decent tip is to cut out the bar.

  4. The coolant in your Yaris is Toyota Super longlife coolant which doesn't get changed till 160,000kms logbook service. If you intend topping it up, you will need to buy some from Toyota as the stuff is premixed and using water will degrade it.

the easiest eay to tel lthe difference between long life and super longlife is the colour of the coolant - long life is red and super long life is pink.
