  1. Hey... Nice car dude... Tried to see some pics off the Toyspeed site... but i still cant get a username. There are some pics of my car on this link... http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...showtopic=19649 How much do you charge to port the headers? Where do you get your car dynoed? I will be very interested to see how much power im pushing...
  2. Thanks guys for all the great comments! Its good to be here!
  3. Thanks man... They are Advanti Trace in Hyper Silver. After i bought them, i realised they were nearly identical to the C-One rims on the C-One Corolla!
  4. Hi Guys, Just thought i'd share some pics of my Allex. As you all know, its the equivelant of the Sportivo in Japan. I have done the following so far: K&N 57i Kit, 2.5 Inch Cat Back, Rear Skirt, Lowered 30mm, Advanti Trace Rims(looks similar to C-One), Debadged Allex and replaced it with Tsport badges (going for Euro look), Illuminated Door Sills. I have to say that this is site is GREAT, and i have gotten a lot of ideas from it... as well as a diminishing bank balance! Keep it up guys...
  5. I would LOVE these and would definetly be in the group buy, however would you be able to post it to Auckland?
  6. I have exactly the same problem! Im hearing a ticking noise from the front right wheel especially when travelling on the motorway. I thought it could be my tires so i had them rotated and the problem is still there! And i thought i was going mad!! A solution to this would be awesome!
  7. I have an Allex as well and after a number of searches on these forums, i went ahead and installed a 2.5 catback exhaust. I have to say that it sounds great and car feels like it has a bit more torque. Although i havent really pushed it as yet so i cant really comment on the overall performance. I reckon go for it... The guys in South Africa swear by it!!! Dont forget though... you might have 'seemed' faster, it is an art to get the best out of a 2zz!! Maybe they just didnt know how to drive the car? Thats no offence to you though!! :)
  8. Guys that is a Toyota... dry it off with a hairdryer and it will start right up! :D
  9. Wow... thanks for all the help guys. Im going to give Castle Hill Toyota a call on Monday to see if they can ship to NZ. Must say that it is a bit pricier than what i thought!
  10. Well guys... Last night, i removed the K&N Kit and put the stock airbox back on and... Man it drives so much better i reckon!! It revs so much easier and lift 'seems' to be better. Im having the car serviced at Toyota on Saturday so hopefully it should run a bit better after that. With regards to the CAI... In NZ there are hardly any places which stocks parts for these cars. I had the K&N kit imported from the States!!! I would really like to know where in NZ can i find a decent CAI or maybe even get one from you guys in Aus? As for now... you guys reckon i should just place a K&N panel filter in there?
  11. Hi Guys, I have installed a K&N 57i series induction kit on my Sportivo about 3 months ago. Its not a CAI. Recently, however, i have noticed that Lift doesnt kick in as well as what it had been. Could this be due to the filter sucking in hot air reducing performance? I am getting a CATBACK system installed next week... will the K&N perform better with the exhaust. I am seriously thinking of putting back the standard airbox on, but i would first like to hear your guys thoughts. Any comments appreciated! Cheers...
  12. Thats what i did minus the duct tape. just used a perm marker and marked what i needed to cut and out with the electric jigsaw. then i just handed it to a mate who works at a smash repairs joint to smooth it out, paint it and bobs ur uncle. does look a tiny bit wierd tho but thats because of my exhaust tips not being angled. im sure if it was a single tip it wouldn't matter Wow... Thanks for the advice guys. With the exhaust though, you guys obviously kept the stock CAT on? A law had just been passed in NZ in Jan this year which states that all cars registered in 2008 are not allowed to have the CATS removed! Bummer? Would it make a big impact on the performance? @AndrewLy Your car looks really neat! I have a silver one as well... Just a question for you though... With the rear skirt, do you find that from certain angles the colour looks a bit lighter than the actual bumper? I actually had mine repainted and rematched twice to get it perfect, but the panel beater told me that there is just a 'kink' in the paint and at different angles they look different. I actually made them repaint the whole bumper with the skirt on!!
  13. Thanks for the reply. I am in the process of getting the exhaust upgraded, and that was another issue that i worried about. I didnt want to cut into the skirt, and i wanted to keep the stock look, so i was going to get them to 'hide' it behind the skirt, the way it is at the moment. Just a quick question on the exhaust topic though... i have read up ALOT about the exhaust upgrade, on this forum as well as others. But i cant seem to work out a definitive answer... On a Sportivo, is it 2.25 inch or 2.5 inch? And does it REALLY make that much of difference. I really want to spend the $750 on something thats worth my while! :) Thanks for all the help tho guys... its the first time i have posted, but i have really enjoyed the reading for all this time! :)
  14. Hi Guys... I need some advice! I have recently purchased and fitted a the rear skirt for the Sportivo (Pre-Face Lift Model) but i am unsure whether to keep it on or remove it for the stock colour coded mudflaps. I know its personal choice at the end of the day, but i really want to know the general concensus around here on this mod. Thanks guys...
  15. Hi.. Car looks really nice!! Where did you get the door sills from?
