  1. could possibly be coz you're using vpower... i think it's 98 octane, so it's a bit more efficient. when i had my mitsu verada kr, it had done 420clicks. i was using 10%ethanol for a while, but then switched to 98octane (whether bp, caltex or vpower, whatever) after a friend told me it was more efficient. i never figured out which was actually cheaper, as i never did a L/100km test with the e10 fuel, but after switching i made around 10-11L/100kms, lots of highway driving, but 40-50km/h highway driving (stupid peak hr traffic ), and as well as that the car was much more responsive. that's with a 3L v6 verada
  2. hi all i'm looking for a 4wd dual cab hilux which has done around the 150-200km mark... just wondering what kind of engine i should be looking for.. apparently the 2.4 diesel begins to get a little smokey after 200 clicks, (dunno about the others, just what i've been told). i'd like to hold onto it potentially till 450-500kms, and don't mind doing little bits of maintenance work now and then. my personal preference would be a diesel, but as far as 4 or 6 cylinders, and engine capacity... just wondering where i should head in that regards. just putting it all out there... i'm relatively inexperienced and just looking to learn. and if anyone's got links to a site or whatever that's got all the engine specs and what year they were available (like when the 3.0 v6 came in, etc), that'd be really appreciated cheers, bruce
