  1. Hi All,

Just put Cooper CTS on my KX-R AWD. Got them from Tyrepower in Engadine (Sydney) on special for $295 each last week. They also will rotate them every 5,000km for free. Got 47,500 from original tyres.

    Cheers,

    Snowy

  2. Hi All,

Only time my economy goes above 13 l/100km is when just doing kid drop off and pick up and even then normally only gets up to max of 13.5l/100km. Most of the time economy is between 11 l/100km and 13 l/100km even when driven hard and this is suburban driving. When on trips it drops under 10 l/100km.

As for WOW factor, my Kluger can keep up with most cars when accelerating (except sportscars) and handles well enough to give me plenty of confidence on twisty roads. I have a KXR AWD.

    Have a Merry Christmas everyone.

    Regards,

    Snowy68

  3. Hi All,

Just a word of caution. I had a friend have their headrest DVD players stolen from their Pathfinder. Zipper covers are to hide the screen when parked, to reduce chance of someone breaking in and taking them.

    Cheers and Merry Christmas,

  4. Hi All,

I haven't had a problem with a rotten egg gas smell, even when driving hard. I don't noramlly have air on recirculate, except when passing the local tip or near smoky diesels! My model is a KXR AWD, manufactured in June 2008. I use Caltex 95 most of the time. I don't use E10. I've driven about 45,000 km, about 75% suburban driving.

    Merry Christmas everyone.

  5. Hi,

What happened to the Date and Time on each post? A Post number is not much help for a topic with lots of entries. I often go back and look at dates to see where the thread was up to last time I looked and read on from there.

Any chance of getting them added back in, or am I missing something here?

    Thanks,

    Snowy68

  6. Hi Cruiserdan,

I got my Kluger as an Ex Demo. It is KX-R AWD 7 Seat and bought it in August 2008 (first registered June 2008) for $40,000 on road (with $1,500 trade in). That was from Bill Buckle Manly. The car had about 4,000 kms on it when I picked it up. Found it advertised on drive.com.au.

    Cheers,

    Snowy

  7. On my KX-R AWD, there is an insert that adjusts for different diameter cups in the cupholder with a lid on it, while the two cup holders near the gear lever have rubber inserts.

  8. We have a KX-R AWD 7 Seat. About 18 months old and 25K on it. Have not had any problems and it was an ex demo. The wife and I still fight over who drives it (the other car is a 09 Subura Impreza). We both prefer driving the Kluger. You won't regret it.

  9. Hi Harold,

I would say that the economy shown is pretty accurate, unlike the distance remaining indicator :( . I did between 60 and 70 km after distance left was showing 0!

As an example, I have had economy showing as 13 l/100km (suburban driving) and managed to get 539.4 km before filling up. I then put 70 litres into the 72 litre tank. 70 l / 13 l/100 = 538.5 km, so I have confidence that the economy shown is accurate.

    Cheers,

  10. Only have 2 kids, but eldest has twins as friends, so needed 7 seats to fit everyone in when taking kids' mates places.

Looked at Territory and also people movers. Wife said she would not drive a people mover, and we liked the fuel economy and performance of the Kluger. Plus it looks great. Kids love it.

Also wanted AWD for when we head to the snow and that extra safety factor.

  11. We get around 13 to 13.5 around the suburbs, dopping kids to school and short (less than 30 min) commutes. We have a KX-R AWD. On the open road consumption drops to between 9 and 10. We can sit on 110 km/h and get a little under 10 l/100. Running when cold and stop starts really kill the fuel economy.

  12. Hi All,

I have done about 102km after fuel light went on (based on Google maps) in a single trip city driving. About 60 - 70km of that was after the distance left was at 0. I put 70 litres in. Fuel consumption for that tank was 13.0 l/100. I did 539.4 km on that tank (Caltex 95) all city driving and school pickups. Worked out that I could get home if fuel consumption figure was accurate! 72/13 = 553km.

    Cheers,

    Snowy

  13. I have the KX-R AWD. Am getting between 12 and 13 l/100 for shorts runs (less than 10km). Anything over 10km, fuel economy is around 11 l/100. Just went to Dubbo and back with a full car and averaged 10l/100 even with Blue Mountain's traffic on a Sunday afternoon. :)

Kesawi, would like to see pics of DVD unit.

    Thanks,

    Snowy
