Thanks mate. Yeah it's really hard to pin-point exactly where the click sound is coming from, but it sounds like it's coming from the sat-nav area....

Hi Guys, I park my car in a public car park each day and when driving up each level I notice a click sound when turning the steering on full lock as I go around each corner, only very faint so you need to have the stereo off and windows up and no other noise to hear it....has anyone noticed any clicks when turning full lock?? I may be too sensative so you can tell me if I am! Cheers

Ric You may have a problem with your unit or you are not pressing the reset button when you refuel. The reset button placed the consumption for the previous tank full in the history bar below the current average consumption. Also that screen with the time and temperature and with most of the rest of the screen blank is for messages from the ECU, ie. problems like engine alarms etc. Hi Mate, Yep thanks just reset the distance sreen and saw that it regsiters as the previous trip...should have tried this first! And didn't realise the screen that's blank except for the time and temperature is meant to be blank because it doesn't really explain that in the book. Really appreciate your reply. Cheers.

On the computer display in the Klugers it has the ability to show how much fuel consumption you have used on your 5 previous tanks/trips. Can someone explain if you need to set this up as mine is blank and never shows the usage on previous trips? Also when I have the fan speed and interior temprature dispalyed when I press the DISP button the next screen that comes up is blank except for the time and outside temprature I then need to press DIPS button again to get into the next options. Is all this normal?

Hi fish475, I hope your still checking this site. Mate exactly what type of rattle were you hearing?? My Kluger has a noise coming from the dash everytime I hit pot holes, the sound is more like a brief shudder or vibration coming from somewhere on the drivers side dash. While I guess I can live with it........it's a brand new car and it's giving me the ****es....Toyota have tried to fix it twice now but it slowly comes back after a few days. Someone else on this site mentioned there are recognised problems with the clips that hold the dash together?? So fish if you can describe what your rattle sounded like I would be interested to hear.....and has anyone else had/have the same probs? Cheers all. http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...showtopic=15497 http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...showtopic=14915 RIC, The above additional two links within this forum go into some detail re the dash rattles I suffered. All noises appeared to be were the dash met the windscreen, plus some minor rattles near the top of the centre air con outlets. At first the drivers side then the passenger side and then right across were the main rattle locations. ESPECIALLY ON EARLY COLD WINTER MORNINGS. Jacobs Toyota Wodonga were just excellent in dealing with me and the car and to that I thank them again. Jacobs Toyota did download the problem and corrective fix on the internal toyota portal for other dealers to resource. It's all notated within the three subject postings. Positive it was a guy at Jacobs called Adam who know all about, his name is in the fix of the problem post I think. PS don't live with the rattle, ask the dealer to fix. If you have a rattle now in summer, it probably gona get a whole lot worse in Winter. Hope they can fix it for you. PS: I don't post as much now, but I do check this Kluger Site at least every second night. Thanks fish, I am onto my Toyota dealer now....I sent them these posts to view so they are now checking the Toyota Dealer intranet before I go in with my car so they have an idea of what to look for. My Kluger rattles don't sound as bad as you experienced....but I went through something similar as you with my VE Commodore which sounded like father xmas's bob sled when you drove it, that Holden could not fix...so I sold it and came to Toyota after much homework particularly around quality, so when I heard rattles in my Kluger I nearly lost the plot....we will see what happens. So I take it your Kluger is all good and no rattle returns? Cheers mate.

I have a grande model, I left the car in the sun for about an hour today and when I started it the fan was on but not the AC, but the rear fans came on at full pelt......is this normal?
-
I'm a very very picky person and the below may sound really stupid... However, for those people with a Grande, when you use the touch screen do you find that you need to lightly tap or firmly tap the screen when selecting options? The middle of my screen seems to feel a little springy as in when you touch the screen there's about a 1mm gap until you feel the touch pad beneth and the selection is chosen..... Does this make sense to anyone....probably not....I might be over sensative.....

Are they fleet prices? I don't know. I just told the sales manager that he has to do his best and that were the pricing I got first up. I thought fleet pricing is better than that. Well you have done really well. I paid $59,900 for an AWD Grande with car mats and tow bar.....and that was with Fleet pricing! Hey what is 'Sound deadener spray to underbody of cars' ??
-
They are great prices.....surely that's fleet pricing?
-
Ignore the fleet discount since they are generally 15% better off I was told. Privately it is about the right mark in Victoria. I am paying a little less but I got it last year as a hot new model. I learnt since then (waiting more shipment for the BMW 135i then I ask for more discount :)) This price is in sydney and will be delivered sometime next week. That is private price as well.. not lucky enough to get a fleet discount : ( Hey MTS, Price is important to everyone, but as long as you enjoy every moment of your new purchase then it's worth every single cent! Cheers, Ric

I'm looking to order the AWD Grande this week, so far with fleet discount involved I'm at $60,400 on the road including towbar and mats. Judging from some of the responses that's around the mark?

Hi All, I'm just after some general feed back about the size of the middle seat in the 2nd row of the new Klugers. We only have 2 kids so won't matter much and we are purchasing the Grande, however would like to know what people think when 3 people are in the 2nd row, has anyone used it on long trips and is it comfortable enough? Cheers.

Reading all this feed back has made me feel so much better about buying Toyota, I also spoke to a mechanic on the weekend who doesn't work for Toyota and he said you simply can't go past Toyota for quality. I'm ordering my Kluger Grande AWD tomorrow can't wait. :D Exactly like my car with half the Kms sound coming from the middle right section of the dash but I don't drive it that much like you no offense, but aside from the bloke here with the oil leak, the customer service from Toyota (the few times you need it) they are night and day in comparison. I'm sure there are good and bad dealers but I think on the whole the customer satisfaction from Toyota ownership is brilliant. Other car makers call Toyota bland (Ford Forums in particular seem to delight in this), but I think this is a backhanded compliment because you don't have to think about them. I love buying Australian, but when it comes to cars, nobody puts them together like the Japanese! I agree with the last statement. Also I spoke with a Toyota Mech last night at a BBQ re the foot brake and he him self mentioned DRIVING WITH THE THING ON! The thing needs a beeper on it when its left on whilst in motion! he said they just need to be adjusted properly and they are fine so we shall see if that is true next service. Also the rattle in the Kluger he had never heard of before but he did mention the Camry are getting there whole dashes ripped out and bigger mounting clips are being installed I hope thats not our solution. He also mentioned the Camry had a problem with the air vents if they were pointed off centre causing them to vibrate when the air was passing through them, I don't think that is related to the Kluger!
