Hi All,

Im having issues in the morning starting the ZR6....It used to start straight away but now its trying to start but takes a few seconds and then kicks over....

Has anyone come across this problem and had it fixed???

My car has only done 82,000km and serviced regulary by Toyota only.

It has been a while since i've posted somthing so hope this helps as most of the time I need the help..lol

My Set up:

19" Lenso Type M ( Black with Red Lip )

Sitting on Kuhmo CCST Sports 235/35R19 - VERY NOISY TYRE

Lowered Using Pedders Sport Ryders Dropped 2" all round

NO RUBBING but sometimes too low for peoples drive ways.

Im Looking at putting the stock Sportivo Rims back on.....Do want to sell my Lenzo's if anyone is interested or will swap for stock with added money

Ok random question as im not familer with a Dynojet system but why isnt there any sort of fan infront of your car? surely that can't be good for the thing?

That did occur to me when they set it up, and the reason i didn't ask is cause they only did 2 runs on it, both of which were very similar, so i was happy and so were they, so we left it at that. had there been more runs, then i def would have asked them to put a fan there, cause i know how much this thing can heat up quite quickly.

on a side note, last night at the drag strip, i managed to run a 14.5 quarter mile time, at +/- 152 or 153kmph so imo the exhaust and CAI did make quite a bit of difference. i know DJKOR ran a 14.1 but it was quite a warm night here in perth, so i dunno if that had anything to do with it? but all in all, i'm happy with the results, and bragging right are mine with my mates for the time being, till one of them gets a quicker one and beats me.

there were quite a few comments after i ran the 14.5, a lot of people were surprised to see an Aurion on the drag strip, let alone see it run 14.5secs!

i'll load the timeslip when i get home later tonight just for verification!

STATUS: Married 2 1/2 Yrs

REASON: Plain and simple really, loved Toyota ever since i bought my 2005 Corolla Sportivo before i was married, then i got a company car and my mrs at the time was driving a Toyota Echo 2003, great car. So we had 3 cars and really only driving the one ( company car which was a Ford Falcon 2004 - PCS OF SH*T) and my mrs couldnt drive manual...... So we walked into Mosmon Toyota and asked about the Aurion. The week later i was driving it home.

Love the look, the interior and the power and most of all the reliability of Toyota as a brand. Would never purchase a Holden or Ford.

I think i was the first Aurion sale for that dealer, purchased early December 2006.

Im not sure if im going to like the new one, I am impressed with the new front facelift but not so much looking at the front to back side view of the top of the range.......its starting to look more like Holden and Ford. Toyota should try to keep there own design rather than follow the lines of the other Ozi family cars..

Anyway ill be keeping mine for a while before changing the ZR6 cost enough for me......Does anyone know how much the new ZR6 would cost yet?

The Facelift ZR6 is priced at exactly the same pricepoint as the original at $43,999

I thinks that more than?? The first series was only $42,000 + on roads. well thats what i paid in December 06. Are the photos available on the Toyota site?

I haven't heard of anyone with that issue before. Sounds to me like the torque converter is not slipping enough as the car slows down to allow the engine to idle properly. Or it's not down-shifting as it usually does as you slow down.

Hey DJKOR,

This might sound dumb but can it be the break system (ABS) might be working if you are slowing down then let some preasure of the brake to creep up slowly to a set of lights or coming to a stop? Mine does this sometimes, i notice the ABS working while doing that and not so much pressing the brake normally?

Also while on the topic of ABS does your Aurion make a noise like engaging knock in the engine bay just as you drive it after you start the motor? Toyota told me its the ABS engaging??? I dont know anything about it.

hi people......

I have found my dash to sometimes be all over the place.........sometimes the fuel light comes on and the dash says 70 Km till empty?????

I found it strange so i asked Toyota to check it for me which they said the diagnostics computer said it was fine ( im sure? ) and the computer test ok. Normally the light only comes on when i have 40 to 50 range left. which is pretty spot on.

Spotted a red Aurion in Moorebank turning left from Stockton ave onto Newbridge rd with black rims and red wall tyres or red on the rim. Looked pretty nice.

Just wanted to introduce myself as a new member of the forum.... I bought my ZR6 in december 2006 as they hit the show room.

I must say i love this car and havent had 1 problem with it......Toyota always live up to their reptation, also excited about the drive days as i have never been on one before and just looking forward to going with a group of Aurions.....( will look awesom )

As some of you may already know, this month in august there is no official cruise booked in, so the normal end of month meet at villawood will be going on as normal. That said, the boofins in the cruise trust have brewed up a trip down south. We have taking to route many times before and, due to the success of previous turn outs, we have decided to run it again.

Time: Meet at Villawood at 8:30am for a 9:00am leave time

Running time: approx 5hrs

All normal cruise rules will apply (will post a copy up here soon) and a copy will be available on the day. If you dont understand them, dont come :D

Things to pack: Full tank of Fuel, CB's fully charged, Cash for lunch at the blow hole

There should be little to no reason why the masses can't join us this time round as there is HEAPS of notice, go get the day off work if you need too. Do what any true aussie bloke / chick would do and call in sick <<<< this is just a suggestion :P

Whoa. Watch the pic quoting there. Anyways, the Auspack unit is a single DVD drive. One DVD holds a little more than 6 CD's so it's just as good. Even better though when you load the DVD up with MP3. No need to have it change discs every now and again.

As discussed in the other thread here are some pics of my install with the various screens.

Things to note:

ALL the steering wheel buttons work perfectly. The display button for the trip computer works normally. Volume, and Up/Down buttons work normally. The mode button cycles between the various stereo functions ie. Radio, CD DVD, TV, Bluetooth etc etc.

The TV function works OK once you tune it. When you move the car into a different area, you may have to fine tune it each time. Doesn't really keep a stable picture while driving. (to be expected for tv though. Wouldn't watch while driving anyway)

You don't need to spend any extra money at all. It comes with camera, tv antenna, sat nav antenna, all wiring. I did however buy a different camera from ebay.

The camera it comes with is an excellent quality night vision camera, it does fit in the factory mounting hole, but the angle points a little too low. ie. could see my rear bumper and tow bar and about 50cm back from the car. Because of its size you can't angle it up any higher. I purchased a smaller camera ($35 ebay) which allows a higher angle and more vision. See pics below. You guys may be able to work out a better way to mount the included camera. The ebay one is not a night vision camera but works on 2 lux light. The included camera is way way better in the night that the ebay one i purchased. The ebay one is the same quality during the day, but has much more flexability for angle adjustment.

Like its already been mentioned, the beeping can get annoying so if you want to get past that, you should install an AMP and run the units pre-outs into the amp. The sound is a lot better.

I have eclipse 6x9's all round with an amp. sounds superb.

Overall i'm really happy with the unit and the service from Auspack Electronics.

Looks like an awesome unit and would like to get one.......... Just wondering if this is a 6CD Stacker or just a single CD Player??

Yes i have the same problem, i think from previous posts that the tweeter speaker grills are the main problem. but i would like to know what Toyota say because i do remeber someone saying that there may be a recall about the dash mounts being faulty???

Yeh i love the look of the car now it changes how i feel about the ZR6, IM IN LOVE ALL OVER AGAIN.

The Lenso Type - M come with the red pin stripe standard that was another eye opener for me, the 18" look a little too small for the car so i went the extra Inch to keep the car higher but also looking mean, and the i had the excuse to lower the car to the Mrs. The Toyota's are too high standard so it had to be dropped for that TRD look im aiming for, Now just need a Grill.

Love the rims! good choice, i was actually tossing between those rims and the rims i have now.

I love the black look i think chrome is too over the top for this car and for the colour also. I went for a spin through the city and there heads turning every where which is really not normal for the Aurion being because it been rated a family car, I no longer think that at all.

The car look hot and im really pround to drive around it, there was one guy who had is head sticking out the window of a Merc and practically drooled over it and yelled out its a TRD !! LOL no lie !!!!

Lenso make great Rims as well......any lenso is a top choice.
