  1. A little update here I went to mt buller yesterday, snow was great btw :) When I returned home it locked the doors. then I went down after 2 hours or so and took something from the car and doors didnt lock. I tried almost half an hour but no luck. opening the trunk and shutting hard helped once or twice. So I am suspecting it could be the trunk. I have one observation: when there is a literally open door and I try to lock the car it chirps immediately along with signals flashing. but when this problems occurs it first flashes the signal once then chirps. so the problem would be because of something else. or the computer messed up. I checked after 15 seconds the inside light dims. I tried pushing the trunk switch up with a screwdriver which shuts the trunk light so it means it's closed. but no help there still does that. I think whatever it happens or not I'll take it to the service before my warranty expires. Cheers
  2. Thanks for this detailed reply Interesting thing is manual includes boot and bonnet as well. if they are open it says the doors dont lock. ??!! I'll check if the interior light dims after 30 seconds. I have warranty till 2nd of September if nothing occurs till the 2nd I'll take it there and try to make them inspect the doors. I'll go to mt buller this weekend so i'll have a lot of time to check that. Thanks for all the info that was very helpful. How much does it cost to change the body module anyway? I'd better prepare myself for that :) Cheers
  3. Yep, that's what's exactly happening. It's not happened since I started the thread. I didnt go somewhere far away that might be the reason.
  4. Thank you. the interesting thing is it eventually locks after trying to lock several times without opening any doors or boot or bonnet. Waiting without doing anything seems to help too.
  5. Thanks for the tip brash. would the door indicator light light when it makes the problem? or everything seems all right? but doesnt lock. thanks cheers
  6. Hi I was trying to find a solution for the problem and found this site. hope someone can give an idea. I bought camry ateva 2005 from a private seller. Unfortunately it has got an intermittent problem. It happens time to time. When I try to lock the car either with the remote or using the key it chirps twice (indicating a door, boot or the hood is open) and doesn't lock. All the doors are securely closed obviously. I try several time and eventually it locks. I tried to wait a little bit after it makes the problem and it locks after some time. I realized that I have warranty till 2nd of September. I made an appointment today and as you can guess it didn't make the problem there. The guys said we need to see it when it does the problem and said I should go there as soon as it does it. after I came home as you can guess again it made the problem :) But it was 4.30pm so didnt go there. I think it does this after some long driving like 40km. would something be heating up? Has any body encountered this problem? Or can you give your opinions? Thanks for replies Cheers
