AE94 lowering/suspension queries

i own an AE94 corolla sedan, with 195/50R15 size tyres and stock suspension which is extremely, extremely soft. i was thinkin of lowering it a bit, and making the ride much firmer so it handles like a normal car rather than a bus ..... BUT as it is i have like 2 centimetres of space between the tyre and the springs at the rear. the shocks are monstrous and they stick out OVER the top of all 4 tyres, so i don't know if i can lower it in the state it's in. help?!

my mate's commodore's shocks dont get in the road of his tyres!!

should i change the tyre profile as well as get different shocks or something? any recommendations? also if you could tell me the price of making the changes it would be greatly appreciated, thanks

hello mate.

i dont reccomend changing the tire profile.

but i do reccomend investing in some new shocks and springs.

the standard shocks on ae9x are quite chunky and the springs are phat as well.

get some kyb shocks and some king lows and it should do the trick.

yeah, i realised the profile's not the problem .

but the car's 15 years old.. it's probably time to do something about the springs/shocks.

i've got all the details for the kings . i'll look up those shocks another day, thanks for the heads up
