Can anyone help me out in this area.

I was sitting in the shed and seen my misses 2002 Dahatsu Terios needed some new tyres. I had my original rims and tyres out the back that came with the Aurion in the very beginging. Tried them on and, wham bam thankyou mam, they fit.

But the thread doesnt stick though the rim as much with the aurion rims on, as they did with the original terios rims.

Question to you all out there, "How much thread do i need sticking through the wheel, to make it safe to drive"

Just thought i better find out before i head off 120km off down the highway.

The terios rims had about 20mm pertuding through the rim hole.

Now the Aurion rims on have about 10mm pertuding through the rim hole.

Will this be safe.

it sounds like the aurion wheels are a different offset, so clearly they don't fit and would be quite dangerous to drive on. Also, i'm sure the cars have different rolling diameters for the wheels, so putting the wrong wheels on would cause your speedo to be wrong.

also beware of loading, if not the tyre will go out of shape and u will hv to replace all 4 of them as it will cause all kinds of problem..
