OK well im looking at buy an 06 sx6

i currently have a xr6 turbo with over 300 kws atws only 11psi boost complete with custom trans will do an 11 second 1/4 mile and yadda yadda yadda, anyways ...... i HATE IT lol, its quick but it doesnt feel quick, its roomy but uncomfortable, and lacks class .

i really like the sportivos but me being me i cant have a car and leave it stock .. sooo

whats the lowest anyone has lowered one ? im thinking it would be about 3 inches to have the gaurds just level with the tires?

has anyone figured out how to turn the stability control off for spirited driving ? not that its a biggy though

i can find anywhere if its an open wheel diff or limited slip diff ?

i ges im really not to worried about performance, would be silly to play with the induction side of things, specially putting a POD on it , only cheapens the car, and im gessing that due to emission standard there are something like 4 catylitic convertors in the exhaust ... are these all sensored ? thus making it hard to get a complete aftermarket exhaust ?

Taken one for a test drive yet? Best to do that first since it may be completely different to your expectations. The Aurion is more build for comfort, so it feels kinda 'soft' and doesn't have that raw feel to it. I still love it though.

Well in terms of the lowest anyone has dropped theirs, the Thai guys would take the cake for that. Around here, you're looking at Pedders or Kings so far. Pedders give you around 42-45mm of a drop, and the Kings are about 35mm.

You can turn it off, but it isn't easy as a switch. You can only turn it off when you start the car, and it will remain off until you turn the car off and start it again. Read here for the procedure.

Well it's definitely not a limited slip differential if that's what your asking.

There's actually 3 catalytic converters and two sensors placed after the first two. A complete aftermarket exhaust should be fine as long as you keep the sensors placed properly and don't drop the first two cats. I think it's only the TRD's that are extremely picky with the sensors. I'm thinking fixing up my exhaust next year. Mainly because of this nasty surprise in the way:

Hope that helps for now. Hopefully we may see another Aurion owner on the boards soon.

Hahahah... I will second that. Buy a bike. No cat converter issues. cheap exhaust systems. cheap air box solutions. LOTS of aftermarket go fast parts. most sports bikes come with adjustable suspension. tyres are better and cheaper. very limited bikes have any form of traction control. most standard sports bikes will pull 10 to 11's down the 1/4 straight out of the box. I can lap around Phillip Island faster on my $15,000 bike then my mate can in his $50,000 GT-R

As for traction control off being a more "pure" driving experience, i dont know. I kind of like the traction control. As for being pure, well, just about every high end race car or bike has it, does that make them any less pure ? does it make them any less of a race car ? I guess if you want to do burnouts, you will need it turned off. Going to do some track days in it ? I would prefer to leave it turned on.

that annoys me when ppl say that, most fatalities on bikes are due to intoxication and rider wearing innapropriate clothing for riding, aslong as you ride under the presumption that traffic cannot see you, and drive defensivly in traffic as opposed to agressivly you will generally be fine , though i will admit no one gets a sports bike to not rev to the limiter on a country road,

back on topic,

if u buy super low springs how much further are the bump stops ?
