Hi, I am taking my wife and 3 kids on a road trip around Aus in 7 weeks time and I have decided upon buying a Prado - my first Toyota!.

Online I have found these 2 models;

03 at $35k with 4 speed manual

04 at $38k with 5 speed manual with the DVD etc?

or should I being looking at a newer model with less kms??

Scrap those and buy my 2002 Prado instead :) :) :) ...

But if not, then it's tough choice...

Aus wide trip I wouldn't want a black car...

3 Kids on an Aus trip, I wouldn't want the ivory interior...

Do you plan on towing, going offroad or anything like that??? Those would be the kinds of factors you'll need to consider when you look at the car and see the accessories listed...

If I were you I would go the 5 speed automatic, simply if you intend tour this great land of ours, it will be better on the fuel, plus you get a few extras. It’s a newer model and the same mileage. Also it should have a little bit better resale value.
