Caska CA3119 toyota in dash GPS reviews and feedback

Hey,

I've got a Polaris PID3119 which from what I can see is mostly the same unit. You won't need an amp or anything as they have one builtin same as most car stereos.

Though in the specs I found on net it says the Caska has an optional navi box, so did you get that as well for gps operation?

If not you will need a navi box to use the gps function.

Have had mine fitted to my 2007 kluger for a while now, and been a great little unit for the money.

Couldn't justify the $3500+ of the standard Toyota unit:) All functions seem to work pretty well for the money.

Motorized screen can be little sticky/buggy in operation (I hardly ever need to open it anyway, as use ipod or card),

and have had to reset mine once when it froze, but on the whole has been very reliable other then that.

More then my wifes portable Navman!!!

Has a lot more features than my mates Kluger grande standard toyota unit. Love the bluetooth, onscreen ipod control,

and not having cables everywhere from a portable nav!

I paid around $1400 bucks for mine on sale (think they were $1599), so think you got a bargain.

The seller must have worn a fair loss on what they would have paid, so good buy!

Look forward to seeing some pictures of it fitted, and your feedback etc.

Hey,

It fitted straight in where the old stereo unit was, same size and shape exactly.

Hi Wilsact,

Do you have a picture of the Polaris installed in your Kluger? If so, would you mind posting the pic? I have been looking at the Polaris as well recently but wouldn't mind seeing a pic of it fitted before I look at buying it.

Any help would be appreciated.
