I am hoping someone can help me out. Im not really very good with cars and I am not sure what to do next.

When I got into my car this afternoon my radio said "sec".

I have all the security codes and instructions and tried to reprogram it the way I did when I bought the car (as per instructions) but the radio wont budge from "sec". It is a 2001 Corolla Ascent.

My fiance disconnected the battery and we tried again but alas......still "sec"

Anyone have any ideas? Do you think it is broken? Do I need to have it reset by Toyota?

I am very sad. I love my Corolla and it wont be the same without my radio sing-alongs on the way to work :(

HOLD the SEEK UP button on the radio, while doing that press the number 1, you should then get "----" on the screen, then use numbers 1 - 3 to enter your security code. Once PIN has been entered push and hold the SCAN button.

They are different instructions to the ones in my toyota manual but they worked!!! I have my radio back!!! YIPPEEEE!!

I have written them down for future reference!!

      Coolant leaking from radiator?

      Hi Herb, Yeah, I had a look under the car and saw a big puddle of fluid about the size of a large Domino's pizza. I crawled underneath to see what I could see and saw fluid dripping from my bash plate so I traced the dried/stained fluid up the side of the bash plate to the bottom of the radiator. I had a good look at the radiator and saw what I took in the picture I posted earlier. I had a good look at all the hoses and pipes and couldn't see any cracks at all. Same with the caps for the fluid tanks. Cheers, Alex

      Hi Alex, Are you absolutely sure that it is leaking, like have you seen coolant anywhere? The 1995 Hi Ace, I bought< went through coolant all the time, I was forever topping it up. For some dumb reason, I had a good look at the radiator cap, and found that the rubber seal was as stiff as a board. A new cap solved the losing coolant issue. Herb

      Coolant leaking from radiator?

      Hello, new to the forum. I have a 2004 Hilux KZN165R with the 1KZ-TE engine that has lost all the coolant from the overflow container since I topped it up 5 days ago. I had a look and most of it leaked onto the road. I can't drive over 30 km/h without the temperature gauge shooting up to nearly in the red. I had a look at other posts and they seem to suggest a broken head gasket and to look for bubbling in the radiator. Not exactly sure what that means. Here's what I can see of the leak in my radiator.

      80 Series Restoration Suggestions

      Hi All I have a 1992 Landcruiser Sahara with 420 000kms on it and I think it is time to start looking at a full restore/restomod I have been shopping around for a few now and haven't really found anyone that specialises in 80 Series restos or the ones who specifically mention the 80 Series are no longer in that business Could anyone steer me in the direction of a reputable shop with experience in complete project managing a resto.       1987 Toyota Corolla - 60 000km on the clock

      Hi Adam, i will grab some pictures tomorrow and upload. The paint is fine, the car has been garaged for the last 20 years. Interior is like new and the engine, has no issues, hoses seals and all are still in top condition as it was serviced every year.

      1000km Complimentary Service

      Hi all, New owner here of a July 24 built Fortuner. My first complimentary 1000km service is due. They don't change the oil or filter until 10k. I know that brand new engines get alot of wear when breaking in with fine metal contaminates. I'm going to ask them to change the oil and filter to prolong engine life. Have any of you done this to your Tuner's?
