weather shields

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

I have seen several types of weather shields around. They range from the slick on ones to the ones with nuts and bolts.

With the stick on ones, how reliable are they? Like, will they fall off whilst you're driving or are will they stay on?

they have a strong adhesive on them, as well as a couple of clips that slide into the window slot. i think you're safe that they won't fall off while driving unless youre going 800km/h

I have had the stick on weather shields on the rear windows for a couple of years .

Have not fallen off yet

Have the bolt on Toyota genuine for front.

Would like to get slimline weather shields to match the rear.

I'm actually considering getting a set of slims. But wanting to see people's comments on them before doing so. Also how much would a set normally cost?

I have rang Toyota asking for slimline weathershields for my 05 corolla and they do not stock them. the only type you can get is the standard bulky looking ones.

Am waiting on a call from Autobarn and see if they can source the slimlines

Auto barn is also a no i think it is due to my car being a sedan

Castle Hill Toyota has said they can get them from Japan price around $275 set.

Do the one's sold at autobarn have the clips? or are they just the stick on ones? It just seems the ones with the clips are more secure than the stick on ones.

Another question, when we call then slimline, what measurements are they? I've seen the Mazda ones and they look really good ... too bad we cant use those ones.

Oh, i've got a 2006 Corolla sedan

Auto barn does not have slimline for the sedans

but Castle Hill Toyota can get them from Japan cost is $275 plus.

I assume they would be very similar o the Mazda ones.

Someone maybe able to measure the ones they have on their car.
