VVTL-i Celica ZR?

I was driving in the workvan today and spotted a silver celica on the side of the road, the 2001 and up model in ZR. What gripped me was it had the VVTLi sticker on its side.

Is this true? The celica ZR has VVTL-i?? Man if it does, im shattered.. I thought about upgrading my old 93 celica SX to the newer one but heard they weren't that great so i opted for my corolla.

Its too late now, but if only.. and if only they had a sportivo range and VVTLi in the ZRE models.. DAMN!

The ZR was the top spec model, SX was the base spec. All ZZT (00-05) Celicas sold in Australia came with the 2zz.

Whoever said they weren't that great clearly didn't drive one.

In other markets the base model had a 1ZZ, maybe you had read about those.
