Wheel bearing needs replacing?

I've got a 1990 toyota camry sedan and for the last couple of months there has been a noise coming from my front left wheel while i'm driving. It sounds like the wheel is rubbing against the guard (it isn't but this is what it sounds like) and the noise repeats once every rotation of the wheel. I was told that it's probably the wheel bearing. I also just had the CV joint replaced on the same wheel a couple of months before this noise started.

If it is the wheel bearing that needs to be fixed how much longer can I put off getting it done. Also where would I take it to get fixed? I need a wheel alignment and some new tires too so where might be the best place to get all of this done??

Cheers!

as rolla boy said, a hydraulic press is all thats needed so any mechanic can do it. and do it soon!

on my st184 celica, i had the front left bearing replaced, it cost $350 for genuine parts including labour from memory. considering your camry and that celica use essentially the same driveline, i cant see it differing in price.

the bearings are about $50 each, and its a ***** of a job to do.

If you don't have the appropriate tools (puller, press, 30mm socket/breaker bar, etc) then save yourself a lot of pain and get a mechanic to do it.
