When should a major service on a car be done.

Also i saw advertised in a brochure for a 4 cylinder major service for $135 is this reasonable.

The major service includes:-

Lube, valvoline oil and grease change

new oil filter

electronic tune up

brake inspection

new spark plugs

40point safety check

cooling system check

computer balance and rotation

A major service is one that's carried out ever 100k.

That is when the timing belt, idler bearings, seals, water pump, spark plugs etc are all replaced.

A 4 banger can be around 400-600 bucks or thereabouts.
