Reading through the forums I noticed a few concerns about removing birds droppings which in some instances can start etching into your paintwork very quickly. I had that experience a while back on a previous car. wouldn't have been on it for more than a few hours, I washed it off and tried to polish it off but no luck. I rang my panel beater and his response was "your too late" only way to get it off is poor boiling water on it, touch it with anything other than water first and its history. Have done that since and it has worked for me every time. Wash with cold water if it leaves a mark trickle some boiling water on it but be careful don't scald yourselfe, the water doesn't have to be actually boiling but close to and on cold days be careful not to get very hot water on glass areas as they could be damaged.
