Seat Belt warning light

Hey Everyone......

When i start up the Camry, the Seat Belt warning light on the Dash flashes about 5 times then turns off.

Does any one know what could be wrong with it?

Im pretty sure that, that light is ment to be flashing until the seat belt is pulled down.

I went to the dealer today and reported the fault with the Seat Belt warning light. They came back and said NFF - All similar models do the same thing. (Which i highly Doubt)

I think the person i spoke to was clueless along with the person who serviced the car were clueless, as they seem to be an apprentice.

Has anyone had similar issues or knows what needs to be done as the Dealer simply dont know.

I would have been so much more happy if the Dealer told me that they dont know how to fix it and reffered me to the little corner shop mechanic rather then saying - No Fault Found, Other Models do the same thing..

These Service Advisors and new Apprentice are so getting to me now....... :(

sorry to burst your bubble mate, but the dealer is bang on. the light flashes to indicate the seat belt pretensiors are correctly primed and ready to go. the 36 series camry in australia doesn't have the seatbelt switch or beeping until they're buckled in.

Fair enough then, I must be mistaking it with the Corolla and Tarago.

Both the 2001 model Corolla and 1998 model Tarago's seatbelt light flash until the seatbelt is buckled.

Atleast this is one problem off my list :)
