2001 Celica removing rear interior

Hi Guys,

I have a small dent in the left rear quarter panel I want to beat out with a rubber mallet. I'm looking to remove the rear interior panel in order to get in behind it. What's the best way to remove it without causing damage to the plastic interior?

Cheers,

Adrian

Sorry for the delay in replying, you may have looked into this already!

There is no easy way to remove the boot panelling in a 7th Gen :( You've got to start at the door sill and pull each section off the clips as you head along the side. The rear seat on the side in question does not have to come out but it's much more accessable if you do.

I learnt the hard way taking most of a day to run the RCA and power lines back for a Sub.

for myself, i found it easy but just time consuming.

You start from the very rear and then work your way around the sides. Just need a bit of force to get the job done.

You'll need a 14mm to remove the top half of the rear seats and to remove the bottom half, pull the seats from the rear and they will come off with a bit of force as they are clipped on at the front.
