Right rear tire blow up while driving

My Kluger is 2009 model but only run 11,300 klms when my right passenger rear tire blow up while I was driving at 70 klms per hour. Lucky I manoeuvre or correctly control my steering wheels and successfully put the car to the side of the road. As the car only runs 11K, I call Toyota if the tire is still covered by the manufacturer's warranty. They can't at this time answer unless I come and hand over the blown up tire? Is their anybody out there

can help me answer if I can still claim the warranty? Is their any back history that there was a recall on the Kluger tire issue?

Tyres usually arent covered by warranty, it may have been caused by a puncture or impact fracture, which is just one of those things you have to deal with and have to pay for yourself. So don't be surprised if you have to pay for it.

Thanks for your reply, I did went to Lander Toyota in Blacktown and we found out that the cause of the blow out, as you mention is an impact fracture. I am really pleased by the manager dealing with the issue as he offered me a secondhand tire for replacement.
