anyone know what a gearbox is worth?

hey all, my engine mounts craped themselves and therefore my engine moved, therefore moving my gearbox and it slips out of second gear when down-shifting. Apparently i either need to recondition my gearbox($800 up apparently) or get a second hand one put in. Anyone know how much one of these will cost????

i would be guessin its just ur 2nd gear syncro reconditon that ... i got that done its 95 bucks well was in brisbane hope it helps

hey brad, yeah helps alot...iv got the two cheapest prices and they were $575 and $660. The thing is im getting a second opinion tomorrow and over the phone he thought it wasnt that major. So yeah that help alot champ.....was urs doing the exact same thing was it?? poping out of 2nd gear on downshifts?

I got my gear box rebuilt for $500

yeah got a new second gear fork and hub, new seals n ****, labour, new clutch for $1000. it hurt but its a good job.

i was lucky cause i didnt pay hardly any labour cause a family friend did mine :D

i think youll be strugglin to find a celica box .. buya sv21 camry box... works the same bolts up and will set u back 250 bucks with 6 months warranty
