TOYOTA

There’s room for a Sportivo (new Aurion line), because Sportivo’s been very successful for us. We think

it’s brought a lot of people to the brand that wouldn’t have bought something before so

therefore there’s no reason we wouldn’t continue that strategy with the new large six.

“Don’t forget too, we’re also going to build what S-Con does so we’ll have an HSV/FPV-style

of product coming off the new large six too, and it just looks sensational.”

Mr Buttner said S-Con, led by Peter McGregor, would produce at least three separate models –

likely to be based on Aurion, the new Camry and possibly Corolla – at 18-month intervals, before

Toyota confi rmed further performance models.

FORD

Announced a sub-$36,000 retail price for the 166kW Focus XR5 Turbo that will be released

in just three months.

All good news for hot hatch fans!

Although, I had been a fan of the Focus until I actually looked at the back seat ... very little space back there, heaps less than our Corolla's which are smaller on the outside.
