What's that burning smell, like rubber.
Even RD Bridgestone Steel M&S blow out on NT roads. The $150 tyre was a write off. Pulling a fully laden GT up from 150 kph was not without its moments. The rear of the GT had four jerry cans and two spare tyres inside. Three fuel, 1 water. The rear seat area had a full axel assembly, a gearbox and a differential foamed into the floor area. The Corolla had the same. All wheels were four stud and interchanged. We ran with four blown tyres at one stage and no spares for either vehicle. The service car ran from Charleville to Brisbane with the rear window blown out by stones.
