  1. so how did secaboy go at the drags? what time did you manage?
  2. I just want to know secaboy, what made you buy the TRD aurion? whats your sorta 'user' review. you had a wrx before - how does it compare? im a girl, so i wouldnt really go for a RWD cos i cant drive it properly anyway. prolly would kill myself. so its either FWD or 4WD for me. but with the TRD aurion being $50,000.... im thinking what about an EVO instead? I like comfort too, and from the basic model, i quite think the aurion is quite comfortable. smooth and quiet. and i dont mind that red colour in the inside.
  3. actually thats what i did. i tried the auto as well as the sports shift. maybe its my shifting but it ended up slower? secaboy, whats stalling mean? i thot it meant when, you know, stall a car, as in it dies cos not enough gas or wrong gear etc. is stalling in your response referring to braking and stepping gas at the same time?
  4. in two of the time sheets, i was up against the same skyline gtst33. i think i forgot to write on one of them that it was the skyline (they had two different drivers and car numbers). i did six runs altogether, but i only attached three of my best ones. during my first two runs, i didnt have any wheel spin at all and i did about 14.9 and 14.7. Then the next few runs (which i attached), i revved abit higher while breaking at the start, and it spinned but only like split sec. it still shot off really well. i always shot off first, but the skyline wins in the end. this whole experience has made me really into the TRD aurion. :P
  5. Hi guys, as promised, i've attached my time sheets for my runs at the drags using the base model aurion. i whooped the Skyline GTST R33, but for some strange reason, in the last 100m or so, he just gains 20kms in speed and passes me as well as the line first!?!!?!? maybe NOS? secaboy, i knew the TRD aurion wouldnt only manage 14.2s as suggested on websites - it must be able to do better! Good luck and let us know how you go! freddo - hahahaha, im lucky its auto, all i had to do was floor it!!! it was so much fun... :) For the attachments, im racing car T37 (always the left side of the time sheets). i wrote the type of car i went up against. The Ford Ute did really badly for some reason. He wasnt happy. SKMBT_C25208091009260.pdf
  6. hmmm... so is 14.5s surprising for a base model aurion? anyways, yep, ill get those time slips up sometime this week. note though, the time slips only gives the time etc of the car number i was allocated, and not the car type - so ppl would still be skeptic if they really wanted to be. freddo, yeah, the engine was fairly new, only done like 4000kms...!
  7. Hi Guys, Me and my partner recently went to the drags here in Perth (Whoopass Wednesdays) and i rented a Toyota Aurion ATX (the base model) to join him. With my bf's advice, we took out the spare tyre to lighten the car. At the drags, i consistently did under 15s for the quartermile time. In fact, i never did anything above 15s. Each time i did gave it a try, my time only got better! My reaction time was between 0.5 to 0.7s, and my quatermile times were 14.9s, 14.7s, 14.57s, 14.51s....... Because im a girl and i dont know much, i was thinking 14.5s was slow and that i would only consider a 10s time as fast. But apparently no road going car can do that - not even a porsche turbo... :P So anyway, this started getting me quite curious, because apparently when other ppl at the drags started seeing my time, they actually came up to me to ask if it was a TRD, or whether i had done anything to it etc. But well no - its base model and its rented! :P Because apparently 14.5s is good???? So i went home and googled the tested quatermile time of an aurion. and i found this blog forum thingy. i googled the TRD model and they are all saying that its quatermile time is 14.2s..... and im thinking to myself that that just cant be right can it? i mean, with a better reaction time - wouldnt the base model i used be able to do 14.3s?? Can anyone enlighten me? is the quatermile time for the TRD aurion posted all over the web just... maybe.. wrong? or did i happen to rent a 'special' base model aurion? I've got the time slips etc for my runs if anyone wants to see... i mean im not trying to boast... im just really curious what ppl think.
