In Western Australia it is almost impossible to get the side panels that fit in between the gaps... I nagged toyota for a good 6 months before I gave up and got the plastic panels made up for it especially.... cost $30 from Alberts Car Stereo!
My sound system isnt bad... its been nicknamed the vibrating nutshell by a few people.... heres the link to my topic....HERE

I was wondering are they any corolla bodykits around for my Ascent 03 model...
Ive looked everywhere and have found only one bodykit available from carzone specials but it doesnt have any prices or anything..
If anyone has seen one with prices and everything it would be appreciated if you reply :)

Just wondering how you guys wash your cars?
I have been taking mine to a car wash place that has been doing the job but I would prefer to do it myself and make a good and perfect job of it so have you guys got any tips on how to wash it manually and produce that 'lookin so fine' finish that our cars deserve?

How long does the polish effect last on your rims? For $80 per rim I would have thought a fair while.... but I dont know... so thats why im asking :D

Looks awesome with the polished rims!!!
Perhaps il see you around and go blind looking at them if i see you around Perth!

Hey dude.. Looks like your ride is coming together... Looks like you need to put some lowered springs on your shopping list ... ;) Not interested in a set of 16" Sportivo Rims and tyres are ya ?? :)
lowered springs is next on the list after I get my ddlinears installed tommorow in the front... I really have no clue about lowering at all though... is Toyota a good place to get the springs or if not then what type of place should I go to and how much should I expect to pay... and also how much should I get it lowered.... I only have little 15' wheels at the moment.. in the long run il get some 17' ones when ive saved some cash but that probably wont be for another year yet.
Thanks for the compliments as well guys! :D

Welcome Skito
U got a nice system setup there B) . i wonder how much it cost & and did you get it install by someone or yourself
A bit of both really ;)
I installed the headunit myself...
Then I got the guys I went to to install the sub and amp as I really just wanted the wires hidden away well and a top job to be done... and they didnt charge extra for it so I went along and let them do it!
The new speakers im getting for the front doors also have to be installed by someone else as the door is gonna have to be trimmed to fit the speaker....
:( I honestly am useless at stuff that concerns a hammer and my hand.... (R.I.P 3 Toenails to the hammer)
Danthuyer... I was gonna get the alpine head unit... but the price seemed right for the JVC
The amp and subs cost $900 complete.... including wires and labour etc. and the headunit cost $400. The new speakers im getting in thedoors will cost around $500 RRP... so il try and get that knocked down to at least $420

Hey everyone, I been checking out the forums for a while and finally decided to sign up and post!
Im 17 years old (so obviously on my P plates...) and im turning 18 soon in a few months. Im living in Perth. I got myself a Toyota corolla ascent (2003) unlike most of you have your 'tivos....
Im pretty nuts over having good sound and what not and my car knowledge is pretty little as ive only just got into cars really...
The things ive done to my car are...
1. Got little mag wheels
2. Have a JVC KD-SC945 head unit
3. Have two Alpine type S subs in the boot
4. A laserline alarm
5. Alpine DDlinear front door speakers + splits
6. Sports grille
7. Alpine MRV-T420 Amp
Ive got pics below of my little add ons... :D
(sorry about the crappy pic quality)
^ My precious baby ^
^ The head unit (bad quality pic) ^
^ My little amp ^
^ My mags ^

I tried 3 official toyota dealers...
One said they could get the parts... I went on holiday and came back to them and they said the part doesnt exist.
Another dealer told me that they dont exist.
Another dealer said he could get them for me, I went back and he offered me a caliper instead.. I asked him how I was meant to put a brake caliper into my stereo system and he looked puzzled and said he must of misheard me... so I showed him my car and what I meant and again he tried to sell me the *** damn caliper!
I told him what he could do with his caliper (sell it to someone else... as if id say anything mean )
From there I went to Alberts car stereo... they said Toyota where nuts and have supplied them before...so one of the guys came with me to the toyota dealers and had no luck either!!! So in the end they made the panels for me for $30 bucks and fitted them whilst they were fitting my ddlinear speakers.
