-
daymn look at those tyres! :P grippy much? xD
n that chair will hold ur **** nicely xD
what a nice bike!!..
Thanks, Yep it's pretty sweet, except the brakes get really loud as soon as they get wet, and it's been raining every morning up here for a week.
Rode in to work today for the first time - 15Km from Everton Park to Albert St took 50min so that's 18Km/hr I think.
Those tyres have a continuous center line down the middle - pretty good compromise for hardpack.

Every single corolla sportivo has this issue. I've really lost faith in Toyota. I replaced mine with RDA rotors.
Best thing to do is get it fixed under warranty every time it happens, then out of warranty replace with aftermarket.
-
I'd get 16's if possible.
17's greatly reduce your ride comfort I found :(
And they don't even look that big...

Toyota sell camber bolts. $7 ea.

Bob Jane Toombul
Pros: They have or had a bloke there who knows his stuff about alignments - Steve - i think.
Cons: I had the car BOOKED for an alignment and balance for 9am on a Saturday. I got there before 9:00. I told them I didn't have anything to do except wait for it to be done. They didn't even start on it till 10:30. Finished at 11:30.
After trying so many different places I thought i'd finally found a decent one, I won't be going back there again.
-
Update 3: Went to Bob Jane Toombul, had it booked in at 9am, they didn't start till 10:30. When they finally finished at 11:30, they said each wheel was out by 20g. So Tempe didn't balance any of the wheels either in addition to not doing the pressures or anything else correctly.

I'll be a maybe.
-
What do you mean by compliance??
Less compliance = harsher ride.
-
Also 18" have less compliance than 17", which has less compliance than 16".
I'd rather have a awesome looking small wheel than a larger average looking wheel.

After you've done what rollamods has said... To clean the radiator, you could go to a place to get it "reconditioned", which means they'll probably just flush it out and it'll unblock about 10% of the gunk from the core and about $200 of your wallet. A much better option is to get a completely new core or even a new radiator made from scratch, which should cost you $350 - $400.
In my old corolla I first got my radiator "reconditioned" at one of the large radiator chains. It did nothing at all. Then I got a dual core radiator made from scratch at an independent and never had another problem.
If it's the thermostat, genuine ones are reasonably cheap from Toyota, don't bother with cheaper options. Oh, and you need to buy a new gasket that matches the thermostat too.

Can someone help me?
I don't understand why an AU specific forum should depend on the US exchange rate.
A $40 membership costs closer to $50 ($46.84) :(

RDA discs for ZZE123R:

RDA7784SR Front Right (275 x 50 x 25, 55, 4)
RDA7780SL Rear Left (269 x 56 x 9, 55, 4)
RDA7780SR Rear Right (269 x 56 x 9, 55, 4)
QFM (Queensland Friction Materials) for ZZE123R (same as bendix part nos):
Front: DB1431
Rear: DB1429
-
That's why I provided 3 measurements.
The increased height of the rear left is going to make the front left sag faster than the rest, just like the stock springs, sigh.

I got about 10mm clearance at the moment, so I'm going to play it safe and just get KYB's and a couple of smallest camber bolts from Toyota. Thanks for effort taking the pic.

He got back to me. $750 for 4 shocks and 2 pairs springs. Done deal.

What's the stock Sportivo time these days?
In the 100kw SX Seca I got down into 68sec or 67sec range toward the end (back when it was $60/day). Close to stock it was 70sec.
My car's not selling, so I'll probably start going to sprints just to get some use out of it.
