  1. oh if anyone has found a place that can supply a replica or OEM grill that the U.S Hyrbid Highlander have let me know. I asked Oznest before and said they aren't available.... yet..
  2. hey Boogie, I want to see more KXR especially Graphites done up with rails and fogs. We should do a cruise if your in Syd haha I was actually looking at silver handles the Grande has. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has thought about getting some. Not sure where I can source decent looking ones. Next things I want to get done next year is probably sat nav/dvd/gps combo and maybe some crossbars from Toyota. I had a chance to get brand new with rubber Grande wheels for $1k but still have lots of tread on my 17"s and it doesn't look as small now with the rails and fogs. Can't wait to see everybody else's pics. Gerds
  3. didnt know of this tacoma switch before the install. looks a little better than the ones that come with kit. The kit one is a bit glossy black. How much is this tacoma switch? If cheap go ahead and buy.
  4. guys buy the fogs from ebay.au and get your colour coded bezels from toyota. Will try to take photo of switch which slots straight in spare slot. I got it installed pro so cant comment on wiring. Still cheaper than getting toyota to do it.
  5. do you have a screen at the front so you can watch dvd as well? I was looking at a clarion system with gps and tv add on with two extra 7" monitors for headrests.

  7. hey i see your going to install a double din with GPS. Which model are you getting and how much? Are you upgrading speakers as well and extra two screens on headrests?
  8. that's the one i got mate it lights up when pressed on. It fits right in the spare slot near the mirror adjuster. if you but a stalk that's another $180 and wheel off job.
  9. just use the ones that come with the fogs you buy from ebay. It fits in the slot as it should. ll you need is roof rails afterwards and looks like you have a grande from the outside.
  10. here is a better pic of the rails and fogs together

  13. there's no gaps on mine so you need to post a pic. I got my fog lights installed today with a cabin switch using the spare slots near the mirror adjuster. Yeah the side steps are cheap too but i dont like that it will reduce ground clearance. My next mod would be dvd player with sat nav blu tooth with 2 extra monitors on head rests. Got quote today but still more to research. Are you upgrading wheels as well?
  14. haha that's funny, don't pull over the guy who has 24" rims but pull over that KX-R who has non OEM roof rails. You can't tell the diff unless your Toyota who knows you didn't purchase the black OEM for $1,800. You will have to pull over everybody else who doesn't have OEM nudgebars or side steps I'm sure there's alot more people with these.
  15. he drilled it on the rails not for the roof just to strengthen the bars? show us a pic mate. We'll have to do a KX-R cruise soon.
  16. it is exactly same length and looks as OEM it has to as it is using the pre-existing holes when you take out the plastic cover from the roof of the KX-R. The only tricky thing is drilling larger holes (x 2 on each rail) for extra support before screwing into the roof. The ebay dealer where I picked it up from installed it for me for $30 but it took just under 2 hours because of some hiccups. Not sure he will install for anyone else after that incident but he was very helpful. The rails itself is $285 for the pair compared to $1,800 from Toyota. I'm really happy with them and the look, I was actually going to check them out only but they looked so good and for the price I could not pass up. He has side steps nd nudge bars as well but is no interest to me. I did tell him I am interested if it comes in custom grills like I've seen on some US forums. I should have my fogs installed by this week and will take a photoshoot once done. I'm glad I didn't spend the extra $10k for the KXS as I knew the extras were not worth it. I didn't like the leather, slow seat automatic seats, not much choice with 19" wheels and can get better wheels later if I wish, 6 stacker cd which I cant be bothered with and the OEM aint nothing to sing about, climate control not important to me as I still have A/C, the rails I now have and fogs I will have soon. Plus to top it off my model is AWD. Let me know if you get them, we should start the KX-R club.
  17. bought Jan'09, 2008 Graphite, 7 seat AWD no extras just really good rate on Toyota Finance to convince me to buy - 44K

  19. also its not really silver more of a dark grey. It looks like the grande's.
  20. kbosward> I went to look at some Thule roof racks and boxes today at roof rack city in artarmon sydney and they were shocked when they saw them they were really curious and tugging at the damn rails to see how sturdy. they reckon it can hold more than 50kg. I told them it uses the same slots and no extra drilling was required. Also I think they're interested in buying from oznest as they always get roof rail enquries from kxr owners. I was outside yesterday next to a grande and they looked like brothers. seriously its that good of a copy. The altitude has black rails and on a graphite does not look as good IMHO.
  21. quick photo from the carpark using my mob phone. i looked at a grande's rails and its so like the OEM especially because there is no toyota badging on the originals. I'm glad I didn't spend $495 on non roof rail roof racks. Now i can put them on if I buy later. I doubt the roof racks + box will be 20kg combined. + Do you normally carry 30kg's of stuff in your normal boot? I tried to get my fog light bevels today but toyota has been stuffing me around.
  22. ive just come back from oznet supplied and fitted roof rails it looks beasty now.
  23. hey klugerhills im interested in buying from oznest as well. can you post some pics please once fitted and how you fit them. Thanks
