  1. Ham Did you ever get your Fly Audio unit installed in the Grande? Kind regards Hado Yes I have been using it for some time, although I would like to get the IGO8 installed. The TPMS works well but I needed to change the phone MIC for the one supplied. All the steering wheel controls work except for the voice activated phone list (I did not use it anyway, mine was very temperamental). The rear camera needs to be changed and I have not chased that up yet, a few problems with my installer. I find the IPOD selection a little difficult as it shows songs as well as playlists but the sound is good and I use it all the time. For those who asked if it suits a brown interior the answer is yes I cannot tell it was not designed for the car and colour, seems one colour suits all. Regards Ham
  2. Hi Whofan, The Fly Audio unit is not the same as the OEM. I have changed my OEM for the Fly Audio system the only thing that dosen't work is the voice activation but that was pretty silly anyway. The extra functionality I get is worth the loss. Regards Ham
  3. Well done Hado, I have all of the parts but i will be looking for an expert to install my unit as the Grande has a few extra sterring wheel controls that I would like to keep working. However i would be very interested in seeing the pics. Regards Ham
  4. Hi, all I am back from my trip and have all the parts (including the switch componant) to fit my new easy park system. I was going to wait until after christmas was over and I have some time. I have been looking for a reliable expert to fit the system in the Canberra area. Can anyone help. Regards Ham
  5. Hi, Jordy Welcome to the forum. I have just come back from a trip that included Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart. I have a 2008 2WD Grande. I set the meters when I left and 5500 Km later the fuel averaged around 10.3 lt per 100 km. this equated to around 640Km per tank. I would say for the most part I drove like an old man, not moving off too fast or breaking too suddenly and rarely going above the speed limit. The car performed extremely well and i am very happy with the comfort and drive. (the Sat Nav performance is another story) Regards Ham
  6. Hado, While I have not yet received the unit, I do know it comes with a mike for the phone and a GPS sensor. I will need to play with the unit to see the compatibility and if there are any issues. I was just speculating on what will and won't fit. I would like to keep as much of the original as possible but I am committed to making this work so if i do have to replace the rear camera George at Easypark can supply what looks like and exact copy of the original rear camera that will work. As to the GPS I will need to play a little. George did say that he can get the other system but you get what you pay for. Excepting the looks are a little different I think the other system is not as robust and the graphics look less sophisticated. Hey its only money.
  7. Welcome acorn, I was aware of the Flyaudio site, the problem is that I am replacing an OEM head unit for the Flyaudio unit, there are a few differences that will need to be overcome like the phone mike, extra steering wheel controls, GPS sensor, rear camera, the list goes on. I am beginning to think I should have gone for an easier option. But the unit has been ordered and the commitment made. Regards Ham
  8. Your right wilsact, the switch is an integrial part of the head unit on the Grande so I will be loking to find a replacement. As I said I will be away for a few weeks after picking up the unit so be patient To help with the instal I have been looking for the DENSO unit wiring diagram to help with the transfer as I believe that the new unit is possibly less compatable than the advertising suggests. Any how, I will keep you all posted, anything that you think might help with the instal please post, I will be getting technical help as I am no electriction. Regards Ham
  9. Hado Did you discuss with George the possibility of a club purchase, I have seen the unit avertised in various place from $1099 to $1395 and everything in between. I emailed George about the TPMS option and that will cost around $300, the reverse camera on the Kluger is aparently 6v and the unit connects to 12v so to get the picture through the head unit might cost extra as well. If you include $300 for the switch bundle, it all gets a little expensive by my recokining around $2000. With the CASKA unit comming in at half that price I am begining to wonder if the extra $1000 is worth it. Regards Ham
  10. Hado, I have a couple of questions. 1. Can the reverse camera be played through the main unit as the brochure shows the picture being shown through the trip computer screen. 2. Is there full function with the steering wheel controls, on the Grande there is the volume, mode (switching between Radio and CD), channel up and down, phone on/off and voice activation. 3. connectivity to existing plugs. 4. Does the facia come in brown to match the beige interior colour. 5. Where does the Ipod connect. 6. Are there detailed fitting instructions with the unit, for possible DIY. I love the idea of a possible club bulk purchase and subject to a little more detailed information I would be very interested, the FLYAUDIO seems to be a better unit than the CASKA. Regards Ham
  11. Hado, I was wonering if it was the same as the unit on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Toyota-KLUGER-09-Di...id=p3286.c0.m14 Rgeards
  12. Hi, Hado I would be very interested in the unit. I own a Grande and I am fed up with the lack of funcionality from the GPS. I was thinking of getting the unit which allows me to plug in an Ipod but a complete GPS replacement is the same price for more options. On the Grande the reverse camera picture appears on the main screen, I am conserned that I will loose that function. Very important because my wife has a habbit of backing into things. Also the Grande has a mic for the phone in the roof, can that still be used. If things go well with your fitting you can count me in for a unit. Good luck Ham
  13. Hi all, 6 months with my New Kluger Grande, I like the blue but I love the red, and I am sure it goes faster.
  14. count me in, I am very interested I am still playing with my new Grande.
