Heyy nice pics on the side step....
did you fit it yourself or ask someone to do it for u??
also if u fit it yourself was it easy to do??
cheers...
Thanks Mac. I fitted them myself. The instructions were in Chinese but the pictures helped. It was pretty straight forward, the only tricky bit was the front inside bolts. They kept pulling through the hole in the chassis so it took a bit of patience to get them to hold (This will make sense if you see how they fit).

I've never seen any specific Kluger 3rd row type for sale. I had a set of black mats from a previous car in the garage, the rear two are perfect size for the Kluger 3rd row so I put them in. Have a sticky beak in Supercheap auto or similar and see what you can find. They should let you take them out of the shop to see if they fit prior to buying.

Twiggy, here's a few photos of the ebay side steps. The main noticeable difference is the bolt under the side step that attaches them to the brackets. Apart from that, they look pretty close to the originals.
Thanks for the nice pics. Could you please post the link to the ebay item ($380)? as I could only find the $370 one with sharp ends.
Cheers, Jason
There's none of this type on eBay at the moment. Just keep checking back. There was a couple of weeks between the last set sold and the ones I bought. I would assume the seller only gets one set in at a time.

They look good!! Thanks for taking the time to post the pics.
No problem. Just realised it was you who asked for the pics, not twiggy73

I ended up buying a pair off eBay. They were $380 + $30 postage. They turn at the ends, like the Toyota ones. Easy to fit (although instructions are in Chinese, but the pictures do the job) and my 2 yo can climb in easily now. I think the seller's name is newgenerationimports or something to that effect. They look pretty close to the originals.
Hi SpeedRacer,
Great to hear! Thanks for posting with your feedback. If it's not too much trouble would you be able to please take a picture of them fitted on your vehicle and post it in this thread? I'm interested in buying a set for myself but would prefer to have a look at a picture of them fitted first.
Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Warwick
No problem, I'll try and take some photos for you on the weekend.

Call Toyota spare parts and see how much they cost. Might be a difference and you could save by installing them yourself.

That Nudge bar with the slotted underplate is exactly what I am looking for does anyone know, what it would cost delivered here or if anyone is selling them locally.
DHOUS
You mean like this?

So the total is 1974 kg, quite a bit less than 2020 listed by Toyota. Surely the plastics you removed didn't weigh that much?

They are not fitted in the factory, they are dealer fitted.
The sensors I have came with Toyota fitting and operation instructions and also had a Toyota part number, including paint code; different colours had different numbers as they come painted to match.
I think some dealers may fit different sensors that don't come from Toyota.
Mikeyboy, did you fit them yourself? Or did you just see the fitting instructions after they were fitted? I'd be interested to know how difficult they would be to install. Sounds like a fun project :)

As my budget is constrained, I have to give up on the extra accessories of the FWD Altitude for the vanilla AWD KX-R. I'm sure my kids will pay more attention to the rear DVD & sun roof than whether the thing runs on 2 or 4 wheels.
If the choice was between AWD KX-R and 2WD Altitude, the Altitude would win hands down. I'd much prefer the additional 'fruit' over AWD. Roof rails, 19" wheels and fog lights look so much better than the bare bones KX-R. Add a moonroof and DVD for the kids, easy choice

Hi all,
Informative site (well I've only ventured into the Kluger part so far)
Anyone seen the aftermarket running boards on eBay? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...em=120403557540
They're so cheap, I'm wondering what the quality would be like. On the other hand, they wouldn't cost a great deal to manufacturer once copied for the original.
3rd row seating floor mats self made with pics!
