  1. Pretty sure this is the one that had deep dish rims, blue coated inside bits, and led tail lights? If so check for custom lights

yeah i think you may be right about the dished rims, but i honestly cant remember the blue coated inside bits. i'll do a search for custom lights and see if anything comes up

    cheers

no luck im afraid with the 'custom lights' search nor was there any luck with 'dished'

  2. hi everyone

not sure if anyone remembers this

but quite sometime ago there was a white corolla posted which i think it was from overseas, it had dark tints, de-badged and also had the side moulds taken off and maybe had a kit nut not entirely sure.

does anyone know where that thread is or where i can locate the pic?

    cheers

it would be good for me, i work at north ryde so it ain't too far away if i ever needed to go :)

  4. i couldnt see a obivous thread about this any else, but there were many areas they got flooded and actually got caught in some flooding (lane cove rd close to epping rd and also hume hwy near lansvale)

just wondering if anyone had a close call and if some of you actually went through the flooded roads with your CAI. also what about the rain in general did anyone check how wet their filter got after a drive in the heavy rain?

I was in Nth Parramatta, yesterday and i had a close call. I was in the backs streets behind Jimmy's kebabs and half the rd was flooded!! I didn't realise how deep it was and went through. As I went through i was like holy sh!t my CAI. But was all good!! :D Was a very close call. My friend had hydrolock once and blew a hole in his engine. :(

Btw. I did check my filter and it was damp. Like when i touched it my hand was wet. But all was good.

good to hear everything is ok with the car, i'm looking for a CAI and wondered how it was in the heavy rain over the past few days as i drive quite abit and i know its quite rare that it does rain this heavy but still it's in the back of my mind even though i dont have a CAI just yet.

  6. apologises if this has been covered already and bringing up a very old thread but has ignition x gone bust? tired calling their nubmer and it has it's not connected and their website cannot be found anymore.

In saw it mentioned in another thread that they are moving locations apparently

EDIT: I think it was Chatswood they were moving to

    thanks grima88.

  8. first of all i would like to thank mario again for organising this group buy.

i do however have a question that members who have installed a trd short shifter may be able to help me.

there is a white ring on the trd short shifter that holds the boot up so it stays near the gear knob, my original shifter had a rubber ring on top of the white ring did you put that on the trd short shifter when you installed it?

  9. damn thats not good news at all, did they damage much of the car while in the process of trying to get the deck out? i really hope they didn't. sorry to hear the bad news.

hope everything goes well with the repairs you need to do to your car.

  10. He did that. See above for a link to a .bmp man ;)

yeah i meant in metalic black.

in my opinion i would go for colour coding (colour of the car) but each to their own, if you like it go for it in the end its your car and you do what you like to it. but you can alwasy do it and if you don't like it you can always respray it again.

  11. maybe before you go out and paint it try to photoshop it and see how it looks?

i'm not good with photshopping or i would have done it for you but i'm sure one of the other members would know how to do it just to give you an idea of how it will look.

  12. I was hitting lift on 1-2 changes previously anyway.

I've not tested it properly as yet, but I'll be hitting the track soon, so I'll let you know the results from that...

cheers that would be great. only 6 weeks to go hehe oh btw post a review on the short shifter also if you could.
