  1. Hi everyone,

I just called toyota to book my car in to get a few things done and asked them about a end of warranty check, they said they have a check that can be done for $99.

my factory warranty ends at the end of this month so if they find something they can fix it under warranty so i don't need to fork anything out of my pocket hopefully.

so i was wondering what you all thought of it and if i should go ahead geting my car checked out?

also i've lowered my car on king springs will this cause any issues if i perform the check?

are there any other things i should ask to be check or looked at while im there?

    thanks in advance.

  2. Return it and get the other one, the light green can.

Because it also lubes, it leaves behind a film of lubricant. This film of lube easily allows particles to attach to it. The O-Ring just rolls off. Give it a few blast. Let it dry, its really quick as it rapidly evaporates.

    Cheers

Im guessing you're talking about this one?

Or should i go to D1ck Smith and get this

    CRC NF Contact Cleaner $19.95

CO Contact Cleaner Plastic Safe formula is a technically proven, stable, inert high purity cleaning solvent. It is non-corrosive, non-staining, and has a rapid-complete evaporation - contains no lubricants.

It is formulated to remove light contaminants, dust, lint, atmospheric⁄oils, finger prints, moisture from precision electrical⁄electronic equipment where lower-flashpoint solvents may be used. It leaves no residue to increase resistance. 350g can.

    or

    CRC Switch Cleaner Lubricant

A specially formulated lubricant that provides the single operation of both cleaning and lubricating sensitive switches and contacts.

The special solvents used can chemically dissolve and quickly clean away oils, grease, dust and atmosphere contaminants and then quickly evaporate to leave a thin film that will protect and lubricate the surface. 300g aerosol can.

just for your knowledge i used the first one don;t know how good it is compared to other brands, i only used it cause i had it laying around.. maybe go with what suprathai said ad gow ith the jaycar and save yourself some dosh.. in the end it's up to you. i have a friend that uses throttle body cleaner an that seems to do the trick also.

  3. i'm not sure which contact cleaner everyone else has used but i used some that i had laying around from awhile back made by CRC, D*ck Smith also sells thier own brand that does not leave an residue.

I beleive you should be looking out for one that does not leave any residue or lubes as it cleans as it leaves a think film on the sensor which may cause issues.

  4. i must admit also that i love hondas, i previously owned a 93 integra vtir and the build quality was so much better than my sportivo 03 inside and out. the engine was strong and never caused me any issues and i loved hitting vtec.

dont get me wrong in saying all that i still like my sportivo and love lift, just wish it was better built as it would be an even better car.

but i still think its a b18c7 in that pic, looking at the sportivo though i still appears that the engine is still in he car.

  5. i agree with SB, has anyone actually pulled out their foglight bulbs before?? i'm assuming not, so i'll let u all know that the bulbs are HB4's, in other words HIGH BEAM. therefore brighter than normal lights, therefore illegal.

but i still drive with mine on :P

thats isn't necessarily true about hb4s as my old 93 integra had hb4s as low beams and was stated to be the correct one in the manual.
