  3. Wheels: If you want to buy and fit them locally id try Tech9Tyres.. If you want best price then look at Tempe Tyres in Sydney.. $100 freight/insurance across Aus. Ive bought from these guys on 3 seperate occasions, brilliant prices n good service. Lowering: Wilkinson Suspension, i got quoted from this mob a while back. Great service n prices. Havent had anything done performance wise, but have heard good things about XSPEED..
  4. Thats sounds fricken awesome! Ive been convinced, X Force Varex here i come.
  5. yeowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww amasing welcome
  6. And that is my attitude also. Pay good people to do their job and demand answers if they get it wrong. It's all part of the learning curve. I have learned a lot about my wheels since your first post - so thanks for that :) ---------------- Indeed, and no problems.. haha i go into tyre places these days and find im more cluey then the 'professionals' at times:P
  7. Ive Just rang my Supplier (Tempe Tyres).. The Mag i purchased Lenso Konvex 19 x 8.5 has an offset of 38 im told.... *MEH* anyway im over it they are the experts they can sort it.. They f*ck up they can sort it again... and again
  8. Well in that case who the f*ck knows. All that i know is when i fit mine with the 35 profile if it rubs i give up haha.. Sh*t now im worried:p What Offset do i need?

  10. Loving the sound of this noise adjusting muffler. How exactly does it work, u have a remote in your car and u adjust as u please? So on long trips u can adjust to nearly no noise? Whats the muffler system alone cost u pal?
  11. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html All you ever need mate.. 12. Yeah and your proffesional would be right... It is the closest but still the overall diameter ends up being 11mm more.. The back springs were rubbing, and in all honesty i probably only found out as i went for a drive straight away with 2 lads in the back... You'll probably find you will be fine for general cruising, but on the occasion you have a full car or a full boot it may affect you.. I was shattered haha brand new car and mags arrive on the same day and then i hear the dreaded noise!
  13. Im abit reserved about lowering, my 19*8.5's on 245 tyre i will have fitted look to be right on the mark as far as going wider than the guards... Doesnt look like they will sit nicely in the guards when lowered... This is the only thing holding me back..
  14. Yes mate thats my point the 3 said tyre places recommended the wrong size.. Not sure on normal cruising but with 2 in the back seat the 40 profile would frequently rub..
  15. Recently recieved my new Aurion SX6 in black, with my new 19" mags arriving the same day... Just a warning i was advised by 3 separate Tyre places (not naming names) that 245/40/19 were the way to go.. Its even listed in a fitment guide..All fit nicely until you go for a drive, then i realised i was in the sh*t.. The tyre scrubs against the spring over large dips and or corners.. Luckily was able to recieve a full exchange at no extra cost. Although im in W.A, bought my wheels from Sydney (will take 2 weeks agh!) So yeah ive gone with the 35 profile now, noticed all with 19's are using them... Knowones had any problem with rubbing? (even with lowering) (which mine isnt yet, but do plan to shortly) Thanks and i hope that helps some of you out. Meh to those "Tyre professionals"
  16. haha no mate that would be from your very good mates at ignition-x.. Ripoff indeed :)
  17. Extremely doubtful, ive priced a fair few scoops, universal ones both from ssv.com.au and carmate and ill be looking at $100- $200 for the scoop.. NO idea how much itll be to paint and fit, give or take $300 id say.. Compare this with the $1753 'someone' wants for the c-one bonnet, and i think ill come out with a bit of cash left in the pocket. :P
  18. Yeah they are indeed, mighty pricey though... Im more after adding a scoop or vents to my stock bonnet. Something like the evo 5 bonnet design would look hot... Would it be as easy as getting a panel beater to cut the design and add a mesh backing to it... Real noob question here, but if it rained would the water going through the mesh harm the engine at all. Thanks Dan
  19. CES now have a CAI for the Sportivo with 2 different options. $399 for CAI with pod filter(copy of K&N) of with a K&N for $447. Dyno proven gains over TRD CAI of approx 4kw. Intake pipe is also HPC coated to keep heat out and finished in a nice silver. Comes with all clamps, nuts, bolts and brackets to install. Contact CES racing on 07 3200 2333 for more info. They are currently taking orders at this point in time with a few Brissy boys already signed up to get em. :D Police can't hassle you as the filter isn't in the engine bay and is not visible at all. This just for the sportivo or can us 1zzfe owners install one too?
  20. IM thinking about getting some sort of custom vents or scoop for my corolla bonnet.. Has anyone here done it and if not why not? Its such and easy cosmetic addition to set yourself apart from 'every other corolla'.. Post some pics if you have any.. Cheers Dan
  21. Awesome cheers mate, im giving cyber century a call now, see if they can hook me up with a grille and eyelids :D
